1. Negima!'s current arc has been going on for too long. The story needs more time travel hi-jinks. And it needs to quit adding 300 more questions for every question answered each chapter. I just wanna see some character get punched in the face already or for said character to turn out to be a girl and join the harem and Akamatsu turns out to be the real villain behind it all and they fight it out for 300 chapters.

FT has yet to have any really long arcs (roughly 20+ chapters per arc?), and I personally thought the Arachnophobia arc in Soul Eater was a bit long for the series itself.

I cannot get through really long arcs. Detective Conan and FT and Rave all have seemingly decently long arcs. Most of Soul Eater's other arcs were short enough, so I can still get through that. PokeSupe doesn't count because it's PokeSupe (and the arcs within the arcs aren't that long anyways).

I feel like I should be for a while. Until I'm not as sensitive to things.

I think the longest arc for Detective Conan was... I forget how many chapters. It was just a two-hour special episode though in the anime.

I can see a long arc in DC being at least 10 chapters. 'Cause half the time the cases seem to end within 5 chapters or so XD

7. The current arc has been going on for... 150 (?) chapters in Negima!. It's freaking dragging on and on and may yet have another 100 chapters to go. Then again, they're usually only about 20 pages long for each chapter.

...Y-yeah, sticking to manga with shorter arcs. /even if it's 20 pages per chapter, 150+ chapters for an arc is too much for my ADD-influenced attention span to handle

9. The thing that's been missing from the last 50 chapters is that it's being too serious. never thought I'd say that about Negima!

The Negima! universe the way it's set up would make an interesting setting for a different story involving a different set of characters, though. like a story centering around Dark Evangel's unglamorous past, or just of a wandering group of mages
