Since this game has already come out (but not in Australia), I feel like having a discussion on the promos.

    WC07-EN001
    Spell Striker
    [3/Warrior/Earth]
You can Special Summon this card from your hand by removing from play 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard. This card can attack your opponent directly. Any Battle Damage this card's controller takes from a battle involving this card becomes 0.
    ATK/600 DEF/200

    WC07-EN002
    Exploder Dragon
    [3/Dragon/Earth]
When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, destroy the monster that destroyed it. While this card is attacking, any Battle Damage either player takes from a battle involving this card becomes 0.
    ATK/1000 DEF/0

    WC07-EN003
    Destiny Hero - Disk Commander
    [1/Warrior/Dark]
When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, draw 2 cards.
    ATK/300 DEF/300

Yay, promos! Spell Striker is awesome. I mean, with Magician of Faith banned, spell recursion is not very lucrative anyway, so it's not like you're going to miss that Smashing Ground or Reinforcement of the Army card. This little bugger is basically free tribute fodder. Besides, since it's a warrior it has cards that not only search it for you but also fuel the special summon (Reinforcement of the Army and The Warrior Returning Alive). At it's worst, Spell Striker is still a persistent little direct attacker who won't cost you any LP because of the damage negation. Plus, opponents will really hate wasting monster removal on it since it's so small and will most likely be coming back anyway. ^-^

Exploder Dragon...well, it's searchable monster removal, and free when it's on the offensive. It also fuels Five-headed or - in a pinch - a Cyberdark monster so it has its uses. Still, it's screwed over by a number of cards (Including Banisher and Ha-Des) which Exiled Force avoids. It's also not searchable by Reinforcement. Useful in the right kind of deck, though. ^-^

As for Destiny Hero - Disc Commander...well, played right it's like an infinite Pot of Greed (Just imagine comboing this with Tenacious and getting it killed off over and over again) but any serious exploitation is pretty much bound to cost you life points. It's a very nice target if you're gathering tribute fodder from your graveyard, though.

Personal favourite? Spell Striker. It's the most splashable on account of basically every deck running a bunch of spell cards and is recyclable fodder for big beaters. It's also searchable and LP-friendly. :3

This may have to be the best set of promo since the ones with Harpies Feathe Duster. Their impact on the game is dependable but they may do well in a competitive era.

Exploder Dragon- it's still awesome, because it can be pulled directly for mass destruction... While Exiled Force got the pros to nuke a facedown and is searchable by a spell card, Exploder Dragon got the plus to stall any attack during the battle phase by pulling it out (and scare the crap out of Monarch/big things) directly by recruiter. Ha Des is inexistant basically, so it's only banisher/RFG that's problematic. However, recruiter is at an all time low because of the current monster stealing tribute technique, so banisher in sidedeck is relatively rare. Cyberdark and Five Headed Dragon love, obviously.

Spell Strike- it spells Monarch all over it. Those Brain Control and Soul Exchange are going to make more than just 1 monarch now... Turns Reinforcement of the Army into Thestalos-Me. Also, if you're daring enough to run Chaos Greed, you'll need triple of this to ensure that the grave is basically empty =3

D-Hero Disc Commander- D-Hero specified deck with Tenacious indeed... When's the last time Tenacious did well again? ><; D-Hero got Destiny Draw for pot of Greed already... so no. As for outside of the D-Hero deck, it's just tough to revive it... There's only 2 cards, and that's too situational. However, it maybe worth the time to dig through the "useless card" box to see if there's some remote and un-heard-of recursion card to search for abuse.
