as the title says which do you think is the weakest of all pokemon type?
if this is in the wrong section please move it
and if theres an existing thread like this please lock it up
since it is the common question
now then...i think the weakest type of all is the bug-type pokemon
nearly all types can sustain super effective damage to them.
what about you??What do you think is the weakest of them all?

Bug-elements like Heracross are a less-common, thus less prepared-for answer to Psychic-element Pokemon, most of which have lower physical defense than special defense.

I have to say Normal, in terms of the elemental pool. They're not strong against anything besides being immune to Ghost-element, but they're weak against many common physical-heavy types like Rock.

I voted for bug Pokemon too.

why would you put ghost there, there not generally a weak type, anyways I picked Bug types (excluding Armaldo and Shuckle)

Normal and Bug types. Those two have always been the easiest to defeat for me (especially ingame) and probably always will for some time...

Bug. Though you sorta get that feeling from playing the game at the start battling with your lv 5 starter wurmples, kricketots, and caterpies and beating the heck out them. Other than bug i'd go with flying.

Normal types are weak? I find that they're one of the most well-balanced and annoying types in the game. Since they're only weakness is Fighting and Ghost type Pokemon, they can deal and take neutral damage from every other class. I don't think that's weak at all.

I voted for Bug types since, like most of the others have explained, they have the largest group of weaknesses and very few effective attacks. Some of them are strong though, cute as well. Shedinja! :3

Fire, hands down. It's got itself weaks against both two of the most common physical attack types (Ground and Rock) and the one pokémon type that is present in practically every competitive team: water. In compensation? Resistance against ice and fire...whopty-do. One of them is a given and the other is usually accompanied by a water attack, anyway. The grass resistance is also so and so because they tend to be weak defensively. Also, they are the weakest overall in terms of species. I mean, the only ones really viable for competitive play are Ho-oh, Infernape, Moltres, Houndoom, and Blaziken (oh, and possibly Heatran as well) and the type combinations are very limited. :\ Bug, on the other hand, enjoys several strong species (Heracross and Forretress being the first that come to mind) and serve as a useful counter for the psychic and dark types. Not weak at all, imo. Plus, bugs have a pokémon that can mess up whole teams if it's played right: Shedinja. You'd be surprised how many teams have a Shedinja weak because of the simple fact that they didn't account for anyone to use it. :3

Normal is out of the question. As Phanima mentioned, it got a very good deal on the weaknesses (only a single one against Fighting) and many normal pokémon enjoy powerful combinations of statline and moveset (Blissey, Tauros, Miltank, Snorlax, Togekiss and Porygon-Z come to mind) making them very dangerous opponents. Plus, they have the advantage of making good general hammerers because a normal-effective move with STAB really smarts when a proper sweeper is using it, and normal moves get a lot of normal effective hits. ^^

    Magikarp. End of story.

...Wait,......weakest type? OHHH......um, I would probably have to say Fire (for what AE said) and Grass (has similar problems to Fire, and I can only think of one Grass Pokemon at the moment as far as being used competitively is concerned--Sceptile--and that's a bit of a stretch).

Allow me to referesh your memory, then: Torterra, Leafeon, Cradily, Jumpluff, Ludicolo, Exeggutor, and many more. Grass is actually a very flexible type with a wide variety of combinations (Basically, it's now got combinations with everything except Steel and Fire) and abilities. Not weak at all, imo.
