    Yeah, don't know about Abomasnow. Grass Knot or Leech Seed, sub-seed sounds good but Grass Knot takes down Swampert and other heavy water and perhaps ground types without wasting Blizzard.

    Also ALL YOUR POKEMON DO NOT HAVE TO BE IMMUNE TO SAID WEATHER YOUR TEAM IS BASED AROUND.


    Add some versatility, 3 immune is probably the most you need.


    Swords Dance Gallade and Lucario, Heracross, Tyranitar even Metagross etc just laugh at this in all honesty. So do the plethora of Sp.Swepers.


    Imo, replace Frosslass for a SOLID sp.wall and replace weavile or Mamoswine for a physical wall, such as Gliscor IMO, who also helps with your fighting resists and t-tar.

    Kill it. This is one of the most common mistakes when making teams like this, people think they must use pokemon that resist hail. That is all wrong. Here, all you're doing is increasing your weakness to fighting. It may seem odd, but add Garchomp here.

    With the number of Ice types, it is far easier to switch this out against opposing Ice typed attacks, so really using it here makes it more effective than normal, as you're able to switch this in and out easier.


    3. Lapras @ Life Orb
    Modest (164HP/92Defense/252SpecialAttack)
    Ice Beam
    T-Bolt
    Toxic
    Hydro Pump/Surf


    Again, I don't really like it. This doesn't do much for you, and you're only trying to add another Ice type to the fold. Special Attacking in Hail teams should be left to the likes of Glaceon, Heatran, Froslass and Porygon-Z, to name a few.

    4. Walrein @ Leftovers
    Bold (252HP/252Defense/6Sp. Def)
    Ice Body
    Protect
    Substitute
    Earthquake / Toxic
    Blizzard

    Ok, we're switching this up to make a Stallrein. Stallrein are usually staples in Hail teams, and for good reason. You had the similar set, but we just need to tweak a bit. Toxic is great when you've got a pokemon like this that can restore health fast, combining with Protect, it's very potent. Ice Body is a must here.

    5. Froslass @ Choice Specs
    Timid (6HP/252SpecialAttack/252Speed)
    Ice Beam
    T-Bolt
    Shadow Ball
    Hidden Power FIGHTING

    Fine, but HP FIGHT over Psychic please.

    Blizzard is a no go. Choice Banding yourself and having the surprise factor of Blizzard may seem nice, but you'll be switch fodder once your opponent wises up. Ice Fang is the better way to go.

    Please Rate and Fix. I'll be honest. I got most of these sets (about 3 of 'em) off Smogon and the rest I thought of myself. Please help.

    'You are 6-0'd by Gyarados after 1DD' -> 'You are Mixape Weak' :P

    But seriously, Azelf summed it up. Your team is too focused on being immune to Hail, which isn't always needed. The reason Sandstorm teams usually have immunities is because the pokemon that benefit the most are those, where as Hail is a completely different ball-game. You have no dedicated walls. Walrein cannot take a CB Close Combat from Heracross, and nothing you have comes close to a Special Wall. Looking at your team, remove Lapras for a dedicated Special Wall (i.e. Blissey, Snorlax, Regice) and replace either Garchomp or Mamoswine with a Physical Wall/Tank. (Gliscor would be most effective at the job, covering your Fighting issues.)

    Ok a little advice on weather teams. Just have about 3 or 4 pokemon that are immune to the weather you choice. Like everyone has been saying, this team would be a walk in the park for Mixape and tyranitar would have fun screwing over your weather condition along with hippodone.

    Keep working on it. Sunny day is actualy very hard to pull off. Try making a sunny-rain team ..one of the hardest teams to make. but confuses your foe and they really cant predict what you are going to do next
     
    I love Hail teams, and I always try to make them as versatile as possible. But this is a BIG no no...

    For Abomasnow, why are you making it fast? Make it slow so it can underspeed Tyranitar leads and get the Hail up.

    Most would swear by Protect, but I use Grasswhistle, and it actually can make a difference (just ask Dancing Salamence 1.1 :D) Sassy lets you always get the hail before Tyranitar leads, who usually invest in speed. Hippowdon is a different story though.


    I never use Weavile, it doesn't gain much since it's movepool isn't really ice type centered. Scrap it for a Wall that resists fighting, such as Weezing.

    Sludge Bomb is nice for STAB, but Thunderbolt murders Gyarados'. Flamethrower is great for taking on ice abusers and Heracross, which Hail teams despise. Will O Wisp is staple, while Pain Split and Rest are personal preference.

    I would use Snorlax over Lapras since it can counter Heatran nicely, but if you don't want to, you don't have to. Another choice is to use Heatran over Lapras.

    The first slot is all up to you: Do you want immense power (Overheat) at the cost of lowering your SpA two stages? Or do you want great power (Fire Blast) at the cost of low accuracy. Perhaps you prefer very reasonable power (Flamethrower) at the cost of some power loss. Maybe getting a burn (Lava Plume) at the cost of much needed power is your choice.


    That Walrein set makes me cry :(

    I use Protect/Sub/Toxic/Blizzard on mine since Protect lets Poison eat off weak enemies so it does not lose it's sub.

    If you dislike Stallrein (are you MAD?) use Tentacruel to cover up your Mixape weakness.

    Counters Mixape nicely, and since this set has Toxic Spikes, you don't need a Toxic Stalling Stallrein, though you could always replace something else and give Stallrein EQ for coverage.
     
    The problem is, Abomasnow can do nothing if it is slower than Tyranitar, and can usually be OHKO'd by a Stone Edge from any varients, that is why we make it faster. Once you dispose of Tyranitar, then you switch Abomasnow back in. I run the faster set and overall I believe it to be the better option in OU.

    The point of Abomasnow is to get hail up. If it can underspeed it, you can switch into a Tyranitar counter that resists rock, such as Heatran, which'll Earth Power Tyranitar.
     
    That takes quite a bit of prediction. And still, Choice Scarf Heatran outspeeds Tar after a DD I believe. Most would assume Abomasnow would stay in, and not many expect Heatran
     
    CScarf Heatran is overrated, and I don't believe it would have enough power to OHKO Tyranitar anyway.

    EDIT:

    63.93% - 75.07%

    So, any which way you go, Tyranitar is destroying Heatran. (That isn't including the Sand Stream boost it may have)

    Disregarding SS SpD boost, it does only that much? Wow...I never knew that.

    I guess speedy (lol) Abomasnow would do.
     
    Is there anything I could use other than Heatran? I don't really like using him and besides, I get owned whenever I use him. Should I perhaps use Rapid Spinning Starmie instead? This is what the team looks like now:

    How's this? I think it looks better. Thanks for the Pokemon help. Now I'd really like some help with the movesets.






     
    Fire Blast on LO Chomp would do significant damage to both Bronzong and Skarmory on the switchin and almost every other steel trying to block Outrage. In my opinion Yache Berry is clearly superior over Life Orb unless you have significantly weakened its counters. CB/CS Chomp is very different from SDChomp.
     
    Starmie and Tentacruel are both MixApe counters. Although I personally like Tentacruel more because it can Rapid Spin while setting up entry hazards of its own, and 120 SpD is nothing to complain about. It also has higher HP than Starmie. :D
     
    To be honest, I'm lacking the idea that Starmie counters MixApe. It still takes a boatload from Grass Knot, and potentially dies, whereas Tentacruel is neutral to it, and not even a Nasty Plotted Grass Knot OHKOs, and OHKOs back with STAB Surf. Starmie is quicker, sure, and does resist both STAB attacks, and forces out Infernape, recovering in the process if it must, but still, Starmie doesn't 100% fulfill the definition of a counter. Therefore, Tenta is preferred.

    The team looks much better, but I'll let an advanced rater like Aquilae, Dark_Azelf, Anti, Syaoran, and many others rate your team.
