This is the only site I am experiencing problems with. One click of any link to anything on the site (including just going to the site) takes about 2-3 minutes to load. Any other website I am going to takes the regular 1-2 seconds to load. I was wondering if maybe the site is under construction or something for this to be happening to me, or maybe it's just me?

We just experienced a Database Error (DBE) which happens at PC from time to time. You just need to be patient and wait until it's back up again. However don't keep refreshing the page as it can add more pressure on the server and can add to how long it takes to load. So just refresh ever 4 or 5 minutes if it happens again and it will be back up in time :]

Wow it just took 40 minutes for this post reply box to load O_o
I don't keep refreshing the page, but okay.

we were hammered there for a minute.. (ok a bit longer) but its all fine now. It happens from time to time and the repair process adds even more time to the fix as vB uses live sessions stored in the db and all those usually get reset and everyone, guests and all, has to re-authorize their session, which slows up the db that much more.

Best thing to do when PC goes down or starts lagging badly, is walk away for 10 mins or so - go get a snack and drink, go watch TV, wherever - and when you return it SHOULD be all good again.

Rukario mentioned a very good thing to do during a database error. Most of the times, I'm on my Wii, so...

Anyway, this problem has existed since... uh... 2003? I dunno. It's not new.
