    Does anyone think that the quiz is kind of racist?

    The queston asks, "Which of the following can spread the flu?"

    Deoxys
    Ludicolo
    Swinub
    Poison Barb
    Pokerus
    Brock

    I dont even know why this is a real question when they cant.

    And Brock is there because people have suspected him of being a Hispanic person.

    But regardless...what flu? This question doesn't make any sense.
     
    I don't understand how it's racist, or the question, or what the answer is supposed to be. It just seems like a load of random answers.
     
    Okay, Ludicolo is based on certain Mexican traditions, Brock has been suspected of being Hispanic and the current Swine Flu is currently being spread from Mexico. Put them together.

    I would think a Poison Bar is like a sports bar. Or a gay bar.
    Except, they serve poison instead of booze and martinis.

    Or it could be like the justice system, but instead of sending the guilty to jail, they poison them.

    Im not the type of person who thinks Jynx is racist. I know about Ganguro. But of all the Pokemon that could have gone on that list why Ludicolo? And of all characters why Brock? Its just funny that they would say that while there is a virus scare that people are associating with Mexico. And no I am not just trying to label anyone as racist, Im asking if you have noticed this?
     
    I think you're just reading way too much into this. There are plenty of people who never even think of Ludicolo/Brock and Mexican/Hispanic in the same sentence. I will agree it's a bit of a random and pointless quiz though. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

    Well, obviously if you've posted it and we've read your thread, then we've noticed o_o

    And, it's really not that funny.
    It's based on a fact that the disease originated from Mexico. Eh, what other Pokemon could they have used? And besides, it's not like they blatantly said "What can spread the flu? -- Swinub, Deoxys, PokeRus, Mexicans, Poison Barb." Who ever said Ludicolo is Mexican?

    A lot of people. Its in almost every fan description of what the pokemon is based on. It just seems like people enjoy attacking me but whatever. U see the obvious.

    Well, then Jynx is obviously a black woman.
    In my opinion, Ludicolo is more like a pineapple than a mexican.
     
    Sombrero & Poncho = Mexican if you did not know. You know, they do base these Pokemon off these things. And Jynx matches more with Ganguro than a Black womn.

    Yes, I see them, but that's not necessarily what they are.

    What makes Ludicolo a Mexican and not a kappa-like, pineapple-bush platypus thingy and Jynx a Ganguro and not a black woman?

    Ideology has a very large part in it. Some people might just go "Oh, swine flu, swinub. Ha ha," and some may overlook it completely.

    IMO, Haza was pointing out that someone else made that crack, but to comment on it is to be in on it yourself (e.g., a post of mine in the pokemonXhuman relationship thread). I'm not sure this should have even been a thread in the first place, surely it doesn't warrant enough attention. After all, how many late-night show hosts are gonna go and do that? ...All of them. Will you start a new thread every time, or alert everybody on this one? I bet not.

    btw, you fixed my poison bar! >:O I wanted to keep it!
    ... Ah, well. I'll make a sprite or something for it, just cause I like it that much.
