Well my last team here did terrible at the tourny AND wifi, let's try again...

I *MIGHT* go with a rest-talk combo with tangrwoth...it isnt as big a deal as it is for champ as growth walls...we'll see...

and i thought chomp was classed uber?? *shrug* well whatevs, i never really cared tbh, but uhh sure ill replace t-bolt...

Weezing is a very good idea becuase it can shut down phisical sweepers with wilo-whisp and its also good with HAZE :D

EDIT: Um, why would you leave a sleeping resttalk Machamp in on a SD Gliscor?

Resttalk Machamp is one of the best TTar counters out there, and it makes a sturdy pokemon and the confusion is also helpful.

I didnt know it knew swords dance it just switched in and i knew i could hurt it with either of my moves BTW this is a bad player we're talking about here...he switched blissey in on a swampert to seismic toss it...THAT's how bad...

Uhh ill try out hippowden and see how effective it is...i could see it crumbling starmie in a way though...

This is the Dragon Dance variant just so you know.

And the Breloom comment, most people run Substitute/Spore/Focus Punch/Seed Bomb, they're not going to Spore first turn, instead they use Substitute to scout for Sleep Absorbers and beat them without activating Sleep Clause (like, say you switch to Lax on Breloom it would be done in by Focus Punch behind a Substitute)

The 1/3 chance of selecting Rest isn't detrimental, for one thing Gliscor doesn't commonly run Swords Dance (only I do but that's beside the point), anyway you're afraid of setup sweepers coming in on Machamp? I would say that is a risk to take when using a status absorber, Nasty Plot special sweepers could also pray for that 1/3 when battling RestTalkLax.

EDIT: I never bashed CBLax before, my ex-tutor used it on me and got a couple of free kills =( Anyway it is still a good special tank and has great offenses.

But yeah, that should DEFFINATELY cover SD luke and heracross.

Also with sporeloom, i always jus switched to my crobat as it outspeeds it, has a flying move, and takes 25% fighting damage (Not to mention i THINK 25% from grass for seed bomb...). It handled the thing EASILY. But now...uhh *shrug*

Well if you lose to hax you can't say that's a fault when it comes to team construction.

Weezing is just good for a fighting resist. It's the best in the game IMO, but as a pure physical wall, it falls short. I agree this team needs it due to the Hera/Lucario weakness. I just don't see how losing 6% every turn justifies not using the most dominant physical wall in the game =/ I agree Weezing is better for this team, but Sand Stream shouldn't ever be the only reason not to use Hippowdon or TTar unless you're running a reversaler or something.

EDIT: Now you're beating me to this thread.

Honestly go Gliscor or Weezing instead of Hippowdon. The only point I'm amking is that its ability alone shouldn't make you not use it, thought this team needs a fighting resist a lot more at the moment.

yea i get you. Maybe ill go weezing since gliscor brings about another ice weakness to whch tangrwoth already has...plus weezing knows some pretty nifty moves.

Well, you know i LOVE and am ALWAYS up for a battle, there's just 3 reasons right now-

1. Im dead tired...
2. My team is absolutely ALL over the place, im only up because i want to FINALIZE IT and make sure it's done before i go to bed because i NEED to get ready for the but-load of summer battling i'm doing this summer...not to mention breeding =/
And lastly and most importantly, my wifi is down right now =/ Im sorry man lol *hides under a rock of embarrassment*

Okay, DeoTheDemolisher, I've given you an infraction. Not only have you contributed very little to actually fixing this team, (aka, rating without proper knowledge - a team does not have to revolve around Sandstream just because you have TTar or Hippo on the team as your opponent will also feel the negative effects of Sandstream) but you have also gone off-topic by requesting battles in a RMT topic and your last post should have been left to PMs.

Lil Mudkip849, don't break the 25-character rule and stay on topic.

Its really hard to fix teams that are all over the place.(no offense)
I think thats up to me if I think its proper knowledge or now. Basically your telling me what my opinion should be.
 
Electrode is largely outclassed by Gengar sans the 20 points of speed which is redundant as Electrode couldn't pull off a sweep anyway.

My bad about that, don't know what I was thinking.

Weezing is a great choice for this team. It doesn't add weaknesses that this team already's got and can do well as a wall. I'm not sure what the best moveset/item is for it, but I would definitely put on Destiny Bond.

No, it's really not =/ Otherwise nobody would use Hippowdon because of its ability >_>

Anyways...

I like the progress this team has made. I'd definitely go Flamethrower >>> Sludge Bomb. You can damage Heracross a little more without a huge risk of poison, which will allow Heracross to slaughter your team, even Weezing. That and Sludge bomb is quite possibly the worst attack type in the game. Normal poison is a pretty useless status to be spreading around. It doesn't matter a whole lot though, so if it takes too much trouble to change it, don't worry about it.

Honestly though, bulky DDmence and Weezing counter most of the same things. You might wanna pick one or the other.

I feel as though i'd want to get rid of weezing because i know the Mence is alot more dependable and it's main weakness (ice) does nothing to snorlax...even nape in some cases...plus Mence has the potential to grab 2 DD's and sweep. But if i pick mence, what can i replace weezing with?

and yea...i like the progress made too =)
 
I'd get a rock resistance over Weezing or Salamence. CBtar and DDtar and any Tar is just quite a pain. Resttalk Machamp is always a great way to deal with that problem, and of course there's Hippowdon who is the sturdiest rock resistance in standard play. Hippowdon has trouble with mixed Scarftar and Boah though, so Machamp is probably a safe bet. I'd EV it in defense though, since it isn't mega bulky and can't take boosted Focus Punches and Earthquakes very well.

Hmmm...instead of restalk, i was thinking of doing something like a toxic orb set with Guts. Machamp can do alot of damage, but see...i mostly used him to switch into a Blissey's T-wave to keep my other sweeper's ok and i *rest* and the hax begin and machamp dies. Instead, i would want to use his HUGE power to an advantage, i feel like i'd want to use him like Slaking, which is switch in, absorb, Close Combat, and switch out. Think that could work?
 
Well Tyranitar is just going to sweep your team then. That's going to be bad news.

Your Tyranitar weakness is REALLY bad, so an offensive machamp isn't really going to help. You just need a Tyranitar counter...really badly. Machamp is powerful, but you need a rock resist a bit more now.
