I have a buneary which I am looking to evolve into a lopunny. Problem is, the rabbit's on level 36 and it won't get a single heart on it's happiness scale (on the pokeapps). Its aggrivating because the same thing happened to my eevee and it wouldn't become an umbreon until level 48...

Some people get them up so fast its not even funny, how in god's name do they do that!? Yes I have given it vitamins (Only one) and have taken it to get a damn massage twice already...

Stop leveling it up for one. Just keep it in you party as your raise other pokemon. That's how I did it, I have a lvl 12 lopunny and a lvl 14 umbreon.

I'll give tac's idea a shot, sounds like what I'm going for.

keep it in party at all times, (though a short trip into the PC every once in a while won't lower it's happiness level)
use item on it (vitamins are great but don't forget about special attack items. use it in a low level battle and use a bunch of those stat boosters)
let it hold an item like a rare berry, or stat booster
don't let it faint or be in the fainted state for long periods of time.

these are all the steps I took to get a crobat at level 24 (only two levels as a golbat!)

Well, what I can say is that I've never, in EVER, evolved a pkmn via happiness before O.o

    I think that's strange

I think steps taken is a factor. While hatching eggs, I found that pokemon which had no attachment to me, such as HM slaves, would quickly gain friendliness. I am not certain if there is a direct correlation between steps and happiness, it is likely that it was just the fact that they were in my party for an extended period of time. But I guess it's worth a try. Also, some berries also increase friendliness. They are the EV berries, I believe, though, the only one I can recall off-hand is the Tomato Berry (if that's what it's called).

This has been more or less answered, so I'll lock it. But if you have any similar questions they should be asked in the Diamond/Pearl Q&A thread.
