5th Gen What are you expecting at the Elite 4?

There WILL be a ghost-type elite four,
Why?
see this
Gen 1-ghost type elite four
Gen 2- ghost type gym
Gen 3 ghost type elite four
Gen 4 ghost type gym

same gose for ice

so I think
1st ghost
2nd ice
3rd flying
4th steel

A tournament-style Elite Four would be a nice change of pace, but it would make it harder to use the League as a training opportunity, since your opponent would essentially be randomized. Also, please learn how to spell. PLEASE.
 
#1) Rock/Ground specialist
#2) Bug/Poison specialist
#3) Fire/Steel specialist
#4) Water/Ice specialist
Champ: Psychic/Dark/Light specialist. :P

We know from tradition that at least one of them will be training the region's pseudo-legendary and that their highest-levelled pokemon will progress as such [i, i+2, i+4, i+6, i+9] where i is the initial E4 member's highest-leveled pokemon's level.
 
I'd like:
1st: Electric
2nd: Steel
3rd: Grass (Poison maybe)
4th: Ghost

Champion: Assorted

hahaha. my friend says the same thing. as long as people can read it, it all cool. XD
mayb hav a tournament then an elite four, like in the manga. and the tournament can have a commentator!

i think people were speculating this since the pre-HGSS era, so I doubt that Gamefreak would change the current thread. But, I agree with you. This would probably be better for us, but for those 4 year old. It's not.

I guess flying type would make a comeback. i am hoping for it.

1st- flying
2nd- steel
3rd- grass
4th- poison
Champion- mix. Like Blue and Cynthia.

For me, maybe something like this:

1st: flying type, with the quickest and the most evasive pokemons

2nd: dark and ghost, with the most mysterious power and the most transparent pokemons

3rd: different types but mainly ice - 2 ice + 1 electric + 1 dragon + 1 water

4th: steel type (5 steel + 1 poison) with the most defensive pokemons which are hardly to get a scratch.

And the champion should be a kid: 1 grass + 1 fire + 1 ground + 1 bug + 1 fighting + 1 normal (lv increase in this order: fighting -> grass -> fire -> ground -> bug -> normal)

Rather than types it should be about particular strategies of battling.

YES. COMMENTATOR. Seriously, the commentator from Stadium is probably the greatest videogame character of all time.

Ugh for the last time you people can't have a pure Flying-Type Pokemon. Here's why:

Hypothetical pure Flying-Type Pokemon used ROOST!
Hypothetical pure Flying-Type Pokemon now has NO TYPE!
 
They should have a grass type leader. Though, I am the type to under estimate the power of grass typesm. Ahem, one flamethrower and it's all downhill.
Or maybe the leaders shouldn't have a specific type at all ! :DD
I want Agatha back and Bruno needs to leave -_-
 
I think it will be something like:

1st: Electric
2nd: Grass
3rd: Steel
4th: Ghost
Champion: Any types.

It would have the ??? type, which would be neutral against everything.
 
Personally, I would like to see a theme running through the Elite 4's choice of pokemon, like Reptillian pokemon, pokemon related to a certain culture or Humanoid pokemon...
Or maybe even specific strategies like all out attack, use of status effects and debilitation or a fight of attrition.

But i cant see this happening... what i can see is something a bit like this:
1st: Flying (but mixed with other types, like Altaria and Honchkrow)
2nd: Dragon/Fire
3rd: Steel
4th: Ice
Champ: Mixed
 
I just want to bring up the fact that out of the 13 american pokemon games there has never been a single electric pokemon in the entire elite four / champion, except Blue would have a jolteon in pokemon yellow and ONLY if you'd started with squirtle.
 
I'm always a fan for something different, so I definitely liked the idea of focusing on the idea of strategies rather than types.

But I don't think that would happen so any of



Electric

Poison

Fire-But only if there are enough new fire pokemon to use

Dark or Steel but only one otherwise fighting pokemon would romp through it

Champ is again a best of but I want a challenge this time but not by spamming Full Restores, one that has instinctive AI which will react when I change a Pokemon, etc

Also would swap any of them for an Elite Four member who only used Eeveelutions now with 7 of them one wouldn't make it now either decide it by random (ie different for each game) or sit out one of Glaceon/Vaporeon.
 
I never liked the E4... I have horrible memories of all the Level grinding I had to do to beat them.


LETS RID OF THEM!!!!!
