I'm listening to "Homecoming" by Green Day. It is a five-part song, and it proves how well the band harmonizes together. ^_^
Each part has a certain meaning to it. Like My Chemical Romance's, "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," the first part, "The Death Of St. Jimmy," is about the trials of life, death, and suicide.
The second part, "East 12th Street," is my least favorite, but it's still fun to listen to.
The third part, "Nobody Likes You!" is a song about lost love. A very sad song to a funny tune.
Part four is the only song on the album where Tre Cool, the band's drummer, sings a solo part. It's called "Rock And Roll Girlfriend," and explains his "rock and roll life."
The fifth and final part is "We're Coming Home Again," and is about, well, coming home to familiar turf! It's a song about pride and triumph over enemies.
Just to say, but the whole song is an astounding nine minutes and eighteen seconds long. O_o
