3rd Gen what are you starting with????

my 2 best friends and i came to an agreement that we'd each start with a different starter and try to get a female. i'm "the best" of us three, so i got last pick, which is charmander.
 
I'd Wanted To Start With Scuirtle For Kanto And Totodile For Jotho....
 
I'm getting all three starters, each with a traded exp bonus, since me and my friend both are getting copies of FR and LG. And once I get chance, I'm gonna pass all my Sapphire Pokemon (including all Colosseum Pokemon) into my game, and fill up the National Dex to the brim (or as near as I can get). This also allows me to get the other two starters for R/S as well.

What do you mean Johto?I thought Johto wasn't in FRLG.
 
It's not. I guess he's just hoping the game has Johto in it.
 
i choose bulba because the team of bulba and mankey can destroy the first 2 gyms and become helpful in the rest
 
I'll choose Squirtle because it can become very powerful if trained well, and because I chose it in Blue version. I've chosen Squirtle for Kanto, Totodile for Johto, and Treecko for Hoenn. Now i'll finally be able to reunite my old Blue team and combine with my Sapphire team! Yay!
 
I'm choosing Squirtle. I wanted Charmander, but me, my bro and his friend have it all worked out. My bro gets Charmander, his friend gets Bulbasaur, and I'm stuck with Squirtle. But as soon as he can, my bro will breed his Charizard and give me the egg for a Rattata or maybe a Squirtle.
 
If you have the ability to trade, there's a very easy way to get all 3 starters.

1) Start up both games, pick different starters on both.
2) Pick one game to recieve a starter. I'll call this one the storage game (since it will store up to 6 starters!)
3) Trade over the starter from the other cart, so the storage game has 2 starters on it.
4) Reset the other cart, and start a new game
5) Keep getting a different starter each time, until you have 2 of each starter on the storage game.
6) Now, trade back 3 of the starters from the storage game to the other cart, making sure they have different ID numbers (this gives them all 1.5 times Exp bonus, letting them level easier) to the cart.

I wanted to do that, but my brother doesn't. Not too sure why. I'm a little heart-broken I don't get to start with Charmander :'(
 
Well, if he goes with Charmander, get a Squirtle :-)
 
I like all three, but I don't really care for Ivysaur or Wartortle. I like all three final evolutions!
 
I'm going to start out with Charmander with I get Fire Red. I like Fire Pokemon and I would like to start out with Charmander because Brock has Rock Pokemon meaning Fire and Normal attacks won't hurt much and when I get to Misty she has Water Pokemon meaning it will be harder for me to beat her (I want a challenge when I play Fire Red).

Well just tell your brother if both of you want your Pok?Dex to have every Pokemon then you should do that because if you don't then you will have to buy another game or restart one of your games and lose everything.
 
I started with charmander on red, so Im starting with him on fire red, simple as that lol. I was the only one out of all of my friends who started with charmander because its the hardest to train, but in the end I was stronger than all of them so thats why Im using charmander.
 
Ive played a demo FR at wal-mart last few days and each time started with a Charmander ( i love fire pokemon). Ill be starting with him later this week when I can actualy buy the game and then rush off to catch a spearow.
 
I'm starting with Bulba...my one friend is starting with Charmander, and another is starting with Squirtle..and thanks to Ditto..we'll breed and trade..I hope that still works anyhow..peace.
 
I only like having 1 starter having more make harder to choose fav also I don't like to mess with my game I like to not trader starters at all.
 
Well, I am planning when to begin my Pokemon quest. Though when I do start, I think I will pick either Bulbasaur or Charmander. I just can't choose! Bulbasaur has the advantage in the first two gyms, making the start a bit easier than having the other two starters. Charmander evolves into the uber cool Charizard, but then it seems a bit overrated. @_@ Oh well, I shall consider this thought more, and hopefully I will be able to choose. ^^;
