Yes it is going to be three years old. Already...there are better computers out there...man.

I am thinking about getting a laptop, but don't know which one yet. But that is down the road from now.

With a Pentium 4 I can see why.

Yeah, netburst arcitecture really sucks..

ugh.. it's embarrasing when i know how utterly rubbish it is >_<

If it's a 450 watt PSU it should be right so long as it's not one of the AMD-ATI mobos or quad core CPUs (Eww... You're not.)

i got a 400w antec smartpower, its a good psu

but i'm gonna be getting a 600w OCZ stealthxstream, which is gonna last me a good few years.. i also am gonna be doing some heavy overclocking.. so i need the extra power

I wonder if people actually understand 'why' they need a good PSU for stable overclocks.
Hint: It's not about the number on the box :P

what? strong amps per rail? i think my current rating is 18A per rail.. i gotz 2..

a bad psu would have bad rails leading to death.. (bet i got that wrong XD)

Almost! Yes, strong amperage is important. Also, so is voltage variation under load. The closer your voltages are to spec, the less instability they introduce to the system.
So, good amperage with minimal voltage variation means less environmental variables impacting stability. A good motherboard also helps though, good quality components keep the power supply clean through the board.
Silverstone is Roza's choice of brand for psu, but Antec are also sweet!

yeah, i'd get a silverstone.. but i don't come across them often on uk retail sites.. and silverstone cost a whole lot..

im getting an OCZ next time <_< although if i can afford it i'll get an Enermax Infinity ;3

I have an Acer Laptop w/ Intel Celeron M. but i'm planning to change back to my old PC.
