What controller should I use?

So I've been chewing away at games on my new Xbox One, and I really love the selection. The only problem I'm having is the controller. Holding the controller cramps my hands. I don't know what about it makes my hands hurt: size? Shape? But I just can't use it. I've been using Windows 10 and some programs to stream my Steam controller's output to my XBox, but it's a little glitchy. The steam controller has to be the most comfortable controller I've ever used.

So, I'm looking for a new Xbox controller thats more "ergonomic" and larger than the original Xbox one controller. I could get a Cronusmax and use it to remedy the glitchiness of using my steam controller, but I want to know what controller options are out there that are of decent quality. I was looking at the Scuf modified Xbox elite controller's, but I'm not sure if they changed the shape at all...

    Any suggestions?

Can you link a 360 controller to an X1? I found the 360 controller to be a joy, but when i held the X1 controller it didnt feel as nice

Hello! You can always try something like the Razer Wildcat controller. I've also seen a lot of 3rd party controllers at my local stores (Walmart and gamestop) including a dualshock shaped Xbox controller.

I'm sure you can find any size or shape of interest on Amazon as well

I was checking out that wildcat. I have a lot of Razer stuff, just wasn't sure if that one lived up to the name of Razer. I've never even used the wildcat, though, so maybe I can find one at a store or something to hold and see how it feels in my hands. I know it's shaped differently

Also, how did you do that thing with your sig?

Really the only way to link a 360 controller is through the same way I do my steam controller. I presume the CronusMax can do the same thing, but according to everyone, the 360 just won't link directly.

Yeah I've never used the Wildcat so idk how it is. I did own their x360 controller and it broke rather quickly, but was very good while it lasted.

Also you'll need to be a little more specific than that. I didn't code it myself but I can certainly try and locate relevant code
