4th Gen What Did You Name You, Your Rival, and Your Pokemon?

I named myself M00se. Because MiniM00se is too many characters.

My rival is Dib. Although that doesn't really make sense, because Dib is Zim's enemy, not Mini Moose's. And no one knows what I'm talking about, do they...

And I never nickname my Pokemon.
 
My Girl Character: Dana ( I either pick my name, or Jenn, just because I like it. xD )

The rest of my caught pokemon generally have proper nicknames xD

My name is Ranger in my platinum and RANGER in soul silver. Did you notice the difference?

i have a horsea but i never named it because it was traded.
 
HeartGold: My name: Liam (male), Rival: Sam (because I know a red head called Sam :P), Starter: Chompers (Totodile) now changed to gatrX.
SoulSilver: My name: Lydia (female), Rival: Silver, Starter: flameZ (Cyndaquil).

I don't name my Pokemon, because I think it takes away the classic, originality from the Pokemon, because it was created with a specific name. They don't really name the Pokemon in the show, so... It's controversial. Some people think it makes the Pokemon more personal, but Nicknames can ruin a trade. Nobody wants a pokemon names "2141453". I would definitely name a Sneasel 'Dick", though. That's hilarious. or Richard.
 
My friends and myself all decided to 'theme' our names, so we made our character's names coffee related and our rivals tea related;

Rival: Chai

My Friends:

-Character: Latte
Rival: Zen

-Character: Galao
Rival: Bolay

-Character: Java
Rival: Thai

-Character: Pero

Non-nicknamed pokemon are lame, and you can always ask the person your trading the change the name.
 
Well...

I put my name as my actual name (Jaysee), my rival's as Flint (I almost put Roak, because he looks a LOT like him...coincidence?), and my starter is a made totdodile as Crikey (Hehehe...), and one I must mention is my male Mareep Feliz (Because when you say it, it sounds like you're just saying 'fleece' weird...And it means happy in Spanish :D).

I agree; my boyriend and best friend always make fun of me because I name almost all of my Pokemon (Except Legendaries, because c'mon. They don't need funny or cute nicknames. THEY'RE LEGENDARY!), but I think it makes it more personal. It makes me feel more like they're really mine. And not naming them isn't classy; it's lazy.

first time round in soulsilver, i named myself Jimmy, My rival Shadow, and my Cyndaquil didnt have a nickname.
