Rival: Connor

Pearl:
Me: Krista (Girl)
Rival: Gold

Platinum
Me: Chary (boy)
Rival: Connor

I sure seem to like the name Chary...and have originality!...
 
Just started pokemon pearl. Name is Michael, Rival name is Flynt.

On Platinum it's (me) Roshi and (rival) Aston
On Gold it's (me) Roshi and (rival) Crane (<--Hopefully someone will get the reference)
 
My name is Maxi, my real name is Maximilian.
My rivals name is Marco, my friends name is Marco xD
 
I chose Kiba as the name for my character, because I love Kiba from Naruto. XD

... I also chose Snaki as the name for my rival, because 'Snaki' is the nickname for my best-friend.
 
On both Pearl and Platinum I named myself Sashani and my rival Clint. Out of all the names there. Clint suited him.
 
Myself I named Chris, my real name, and my rival is Matt, a friend who does the exact opposite in his games.
 
In Platinum,I named myself Kaila and my Rival Tim.
 
In both Platinum and Diamond, I named him "IMALOSR", lol

In every game I name the rival something mean.....

I completely agree with you. Ever since Gary and Silver, the rivals are always your next door neighbors or they are friendly to you. I miss those rivals that could have given two shits less whether you lived or died.

On a Platinum ROM, I named everyone Dawn. Both myself (male) and my rival. And of course, Dawn was Dawn too. So three people who were named Dawn were running around Sinnoh.

and the rivals name was Tommy luckily thats actually my brothers name so it worked out well for me ^_^
 
I named myself Ellie because it's my name :P. I forgot what I named my rival but it was probably the name of someone I don't like. That's what I usually do for my rivals.
