My Pokemons Nicknames (they are really weird, because I'm not good at thinking of good nicknames)

Feraligatr - Big Jaw
Ampharos - Electro
Togekiss - Shelly
Arcanine - Firepup (as Growlithe)/Flamedog (as Arcanine)
Quagsire - Carefree
Espeon - Psy Hindu

The rival from D/P/P looked like a Tyson to me.. Barry just sounds bleh.
Anyways..

Me: Luke
Rival: Silver (the name is just so fitting..)

And i never name my pokemon, unless it's for a reason, like for online battles.

opponent: haha hes sending out an oddish! *pokeball opens.. It's actually a charizard named Oddish* WTF?!
 
I try to be creative with my names. I name my character and rival character after the element Pokemon I'm going to choose (and subsequently which Pokemon my rival will choose).

Boy: Blaze (Fire), Rayne (Water), Thorne (Grass)
Girl: Fiona (Fire), Chelsea (Water), Rose (Grass)

As you can see, I'm generally more creative with female names.

Now with my Pokemon I usually name them after either their element (like the male names above) or after an object having to do with the element (such as Sean for a Water-type). I may also name them after someone famous that has to with either the type or animal (or object) it is based on (for instance, I generally name my Geodude "Balboa", after ROCKY Balboa). My Feraligatr is named Steve, after Steve Irwin (R.I.P.). Oh, yes, I try to give them actual names, not like "Thunder" or "AMAZING!"

I generally just rename legendaries to their own names, but uncapitalizing all letters that need to be.

Yeah...I usually take a few minutes to try to think of a good name for my Pokemon.

Call me crazy if you must, but that's why my screenname is what it is.

I don't tend to give nicknames, in the case of my Pokémon Soul Silver game they're all just their real names, unless I can think of good names.
 
Well, i named myself Volkner
Rivals called Dan for some reason e_e
My team is called
- Suigetsu the croconaw.
- Ryujin the magby.
- Starrk the staravia.
- Minato the elekid.
- Grimjaww the aron.
- Hyoyinmaru the sneasel.
Yes, they are all imported, i have no taste for johto pokemon unfortunately..
 
I named myself Dialga, and my rival Thomas. Real creative right? Anyway, team:

...Yeah, they're interesting nicknames...
 
I named myself Chuckles (my nickname), my starter Tockles (girlfriend's nickname) and my rival Mockles just to go along with the theme (doesn't it sound evil though? x3).

I nickname every single pokemon I catch so I would not be able to list them all here.. oh well! c:
 
Name: Brobee (From yo gabba gabba), Rival: Gavin (one of my good friends), and i havent nicknamed any pokemon but my friends nicknamed some of mine so...Pelliper: Wide load, Marril: Drunk ****
 
I named myself Kat after my real name.
My rival is Jesse... solely because I think he looks like a Jesse. o.O
And my pokémon are all named after a raven, or crow:
Gyarados: Rook
Kingdra: Raven
Whiscash: Ren (:

Rival: Gold; Chang

Pokemon:I do not change the name of my pokemon, it irritates me when I do.

The rival name Chang is a shout out to my friend, and how he and I met through playing Pokemon Yellow in school when he moved to the U.S. from South korea.

I always go by my real name, Kai. My rival is usually named Ian, which is one of my middle names.

Or something of the sort.
 
I always name myself Jenny, which is my actual name so it makes sense :)
This time in HeartGold i named my rival Quentin. Ive no idea why, i just thought of it on the spot :)

My current team is:
Butterfree: Twinkle
Meganium: Summer
Gyarados: Dexter
Ninetales: Tula
Gengar: Alastor
and Ho oh who i didnt name :)
 
I named myself Chris (my real name), my rival Silver, and I don't nickname my in-game team Pokemon...
Yeah, I get real creative with the names O.o
 
I named myself Benji... as per usual when I use the male character in game.

And I named my rival Lucifer. lol It seemed fitting. :P
 
Me: Jordan, Jun, Or Yosuke.

Rival: After one of my friends. ^_^; Uncreative.

And I only name the pokemon I will USE and use one day, and HM slaves. :)
