Well you know what I'm talking about, A school assembly where the whole school gathers and listens to the Princepal yap about stuff you're not really interested in. What do you do in them to keep yourself awake or do you sleep through them?
Do you play with Blue Tack? Your hair? Rubber bands? Day Dream?

Or is your school the kind of school where assemblys are fun - which mine are definatly not

    Comment?

ehh. I graduated already. During School assemblies, I'd sit with my friends. I had few friends, but it was cool. It was better than doing work or dealing with a teacher. :D
The fun part was when some kids would do dumb, funny things. The bad part was when they got kicked out of the assembly and got detention :P

... we dun have school assemblies anymore, unless graduation on friday counts.

I just sit there and listen, I'm not a rebel in school :(

    Though we sat in our form classes, making it even more boring. XD;

We never have any serious discussion at our assemblies, homecoming ceremonies, and people telling us that drugs are bad, we had the MN supreme court in there one day, but we sleep or make fun of whoever is talking.

Usually I help friends make disturbances, sleep, or listen to my iPod. I have had poor luck doing the last two recently, as I've found some moron keeps sitting beside me who makes frequent derogatory racial comments about the principal and the people on random movie clips from the nineties.

The only beneficial thing I did for an assembly was sing along (along with everyone else) to some Powerpoint that had 'Eye of the Tiger' at the end of it. Coolest slideshow ever!

Usually my friends and I would add ridiculous commentaries and/or draw pictures and pass them around to each other. We'd make sure it wasn't boring.

Well in my assemebly's I usaly just sit behind a preaty girl and talk to her, You know get the digits and stuff? or I just talk with my normal friends

Usually our assemblies are pretty fun, and we rarely just sit in an auditorium and watch someone on stage. Usually we go to one of the gyms and they pull out the bleachers and we all sit with our classes. They usually have some games, lip syncs, etc. Of course, I sit with my friends and we get yelled at when we start talking too loudly. :P

wow, I just got a comment on my post that said lier, thats just not right, I do sit behind a girl and talk. and i talk to my friends, why does it have to be lies?

It depends on what the assembly was about... I usually try to sit with friends so it can be more enjoyable but sometimes teachers act like their tyranicle selves and assign us seats for some odd reason. But if it is a Band/Chorus concert for 3 hours in the hot High School Auditorium... well... I can't deal with that. :/ But so we haven't had any Assembly's this year.

Back when I was in school, I'd try my best to blend in and not draw attention to myself. Too bad everyone else would do exactly the opposite. :V

The assemblies at my school are usually pretty awesome. We hardly ever have assemblies where the principal gets up just to talk about things. They do that kind of stuff over the morning announcements.

We have annual assemblies that happen every year. For example we get a hypnotist who comes in every year, takes about 20 students from the school, and hypnotizes everyone. It is so awesome, and so hilarious at the same time. (I have never doubted hypnotism after the first year I saw it. :P)

We also have a Christmas assembly that takes up half of the day on the last day of school before the Christmas holiday starts. We do that in the auditorium (usually they're in the gym) and all the classes do things, or students sign up to do things during it.

So yea, usually when there's an announcement about an assembly at my school, it's a "woooooo" feeling, not a "boooo" feeling. xD Everyone gets involved so there's really no need for people to find things to amuse themselves. I have a super small school too, so that probably helps.

    We had two different assemblies.

We had chapel, which was three times a week. We had to sit with our class at that time. It wasn't bad because the chapel committee managed to make it fun.

As for normal assemblies, I'd sit with my friends and we'd write notes to each other since we couldn't talk.

Back when I did have them, I just sat with my friends and talked.
Nothin' important ever was talked about during the assemblys.

We have school meetings everyday except wednesday. On wednesdays we have chapel. :|
Anyway, I just do homework due the next period or talk with my friends during meetings.
I actually like chapel. Its not really boring since the students do all the chapel talks and music performances. Also, well, its better than class.

When I went to assemblies I usually slept or daydreamed through them. Unless they were pep-rallies of course, then I tried to pay attention as it's pretty tough falling asleep or daydreaming in utter noise lol.

We have a lot of fun during our school assembly.

One of us, starts clapping, the next moment all of us are clapping at the principal having said "Good morning."

We clap so much we don't let the principal talk. XD

At times all 1500 students turn the other way around for no reason.

oh man... this brings Nostalgia of the time when I was an "A Hole". I would get a roll of Pennies and sit in the back of the Bleachers. I would sit with a few friends. I would then discretely throw Pennies down to the lower levels of the Bleachers and hit a few kids. I Laughed a lot but now I resent what I did =/

School assemblies were not appealing to me. They were boring and never really had any amusement, which was shameful. What a way to waste time of your life, the good thing is you learn even though you can hardly be bothered to listen...
