What do you hate about Pokemon games?

Is it just me or is the surfing speed way too slow in D/P compared to other games, especially R/S/E?

How slowly you move when you surf in D/P/Pt.
Any move that makes you confused.

A few more things that I'll leave out. But boy oh boy do I hate those common Pokemon that are everywhere.
 
I just totally hate D/P/Pt bases. I wn't repeat what I saw earlier too
-I hate sleep and freeze, you get frozen, it ends 5 turns after, you freeze teh other it gets unfrozen on next turn...
 
I hate:

How the trees blur when u run/bike in Gen.IV
How you have teams tryin to use legendaries as the whole plot (kanto is way better like that)
event legendaries (too many, at least pikachu coloured pichu is imaginative)
and lots more....
 
I hate that they didn't think of that any pokemon can follow you sooner.

EVs... Those freaking EVs completely ruined Pokemon for me.
 
As other people have already said, event Pokémon suck when you don't live somewhere with many events. They are the reason I've given up on ever getting a full Pokédex without cheating.

and all the Status Problems ;-;

EV's and IV's too.

Also the Sinnoh Battle Factory. It is completely harder than the Hoenn one.
 
The Generation gap that prevents me from trading between Crystal and Platinum, which sucked because before I lost my files, I had valuable pokemon on them and that was before I figured out how to clone and transfer them with Pokesav. (Yes i'm well aware I said the name of the forbidden program, but that is the only thing I EVER use it for.)

- Horribly underpowered enemy pokemon. This was a major problem in GSC and still wasn't very much improved in RSE. Once you reach a certain point in the game, you start 1HKOing everything because while you have a level 50-something pokemon, they're still sending out level 20's at you, even if they had a type advantage over you, they still wouldn't stand a chance.

- Terrible dialogue between certain trainers that crushes the emersiveness of the game. Prime examples are the "I like shorts" guy in RBY and "Behold my graceful ball dexterity!" in GSC.

- If I ever have kids, remind me NEVER to send them to the Day-Care center in Johto. EVER.
 
- DPPt secret bases.
- Recycled facilities in Platinum's Battle Frontier (Castle, Arcade, and Hall are great, but recycling Tower since Pokemon Crystal and the Factory is ridiculous)
- Slow Surfing in DP.
- The move Defog. It's stupid and unnecessary. Who thought of that? Seriously.
- GSC's level problem.
 
When your trying to go somehwere and you run into a wild pokemon, and you try to escape and it says you cant, then the pokemon hits you for a good chunk of HP then you run again and you get away

No, the engines are completely different! Ruby and Sapphire had their own engines while Emerald had the same one as FireRed and LeafGreen.

Anyway, Double Team is a legit strategy. I hate to see anyone with any of those stupid "Evasion Clauses". If you're having trouble with Double Team, just use a move like Swift or Aerial Ace, or use Lock On or Oder Sleuth. It's really not that hard! Some of my greatest moments have involved Double Team, Like beating Steven almost entirely with my Double Teaming Sandslash in Gen. III.
 
Rhyperior, Electrive, and Magmortar.

They totally ruined Rhydon, Electabuzz, and Magmar, some of the coolest looking pokemon. Especially Rhydon. Another 4th gen evolution I didn't like was the one for Nosepass, but I've never really been a fan of nosepass.

But they ruined the looks of the final evolutions of Rhydon, Electabuzz, and Magmar.

i mean you should always have pikachu...
they should make a game where you start of in kanto and do everything ash did, and misty and brock come along, then max and may, and dawn etc. =]
