What do you know about music?

    I created this topic because I just wanted to know everything you know about music or in other words your knowledge about music, and feel free to specify the reason why. : D
     
    I know a fair bit about music, I got a grade 2 in my guitar [huzzah T.T]
    And also I took music as a GCSE option.
    As I was actually going to do a job with my music when I'm a bit older =3
     
    I got an A for Higher Music which is the Scottish equivelant of an A Level in England (not sure about the rest of the world). I know a bit about music. I like most genres, except for Pop, Dance, R'n'B, Hip Hop and most Rap (the only rappers I listen to are Rage Against The Machine, Run DMC and The Lonely Island).

    Is there anything you particularly want to know?
     
    I used to be in band at my school for a few years, so I know basic knowledge about time keys, tempto etc.
    Also, after band, I was in choir, so I have some vocal training.
    I played flute in band, and taught myself a tiny amount of guitar and drums.

    Basically, my knowledge is this:
    SOME guitar and drums
    Once played flute
    Can sing fairly well, and pride myself on my Death Metal vocals.
     
    I know that in music there is all kinds of sounds.
     
    The manipulation of sound. You can make music with everything. I'm making music with my teeth and saliva by chewing on a delicious Nutter Butter.
     
    Well I can't sing and I've lost the skill of playing any instrument I once knew. So I can't say I know much in a direct way about music. I can say I love music though and I can't imagine a world without it.
     
    I can't sing, and the only instrument I can play - and that not very good - is the xylophone.
    But this is skills, not knowledge. If speaking about knowledge, I can pride myself that my today's knowledge of music is a multiple of my knowledge of music some months ago... But sadly it's still very, very fragmentary.
