What do you think of designer labels?

Waste of money. Ladies clothes is already too expensive.

Most 'designer' items are really ugly to me, so I don't get the hype and I don't see how the price of most of those products are justified.

So, basically I was having a " conversation" with another girl who told me that designer labels are pointless and are a waste of money.


I was wondering what do you think of designer labels such as Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Chanel and Christian Louboutin?
Do you think they are pointless?
What would you think of someone who you could see was sporting a designer bag or jewellery or top?


Honestly I love these brands. They are very dreamy and luxurious and is a statement of how wealthy you are.
Yes they are expensive but I think it shows how much of a good product and how much time has gone into making it.

I don't think bad about these labels at all. I think that their clothes and other stuff are really good and interesting in different ways but I don't like the prices {XD} I'm not sure in fact that such prices are really fair, sometimes some of their clothes don't look impressive for me at all {XD} Besides I don't like that massive hysteria about them... You know that thought "Only the production of famous brands is worth for buying because it's the best" >_> I can't agree with that :) For example, my girlfriend rather often reads articles like this for searching different good ideas for her own style and then she buys the similiar clothes but with much cheaper prices :) And she looks always beautiful! :)
To sum up - brands are cool but too cool :)
