The title says it all; What do you think of New Super Mario Bros. Wii? I'm playing it at the moment and it is AWESOME.
If you're playing it, how far are you?
    For me:
W1: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W2: 1 level left to play (W2-5), all secret exits found. EDIT: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W3: 1 level left to play (W3-3), all secret exits found. EDIT: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W4: 4 levels left to play (W4-GH, W4-5, W4-Castle, W4-Airship), no secret exits done. EDIT: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W5: 1 level left to play, all secret exits found. EDIT: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W6: All levels done, all secret exits found (I still haven't done the real exit to W6-6). EDIT: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W7: 1 level left to play (W7-4), all secret exits found (I still haven't done the real exit to W7-GH). EDIT: All Star Coins found, all levels completed, all secret exits found.
W8: 5 levels left to play (W8-3, W8-4, W8-Tower, W8-5, W8-6), all secret exits found (I still haven't done the real exit to W8-2). Final Castle defeated.

I've done everything except get all the star coins in 9 - 7, that level is such a pain. I thought it was a really fun game, it certainly lives up to hype it got when it was released, but personally i think they could have had a bit of variation from the same 8 worlds they had in the DS game. If that could have 8 worlds, a wii game could have racked up a few more, like a ghost world or something, ruins maybe. The bosses were also a little boring. The best ones were Lemmy, Kamek, Bowser Jr. and Iggy, most of the others were really quite bland, Morton was a particular disappointment for such a late point in the game.

Other than that, the gimmicks in the different levels were quite fun (i love 7-2 among many others), fun enough that i actually go through them again for the fun. The game is even fairly challenging!

I didn't play the game, but just seeing it in the Nintendo channel urges me to play it.

I think it is a good game regarding the gameplay videos. I just need to find it in a shop and... It's gonna be out of stock.

My younger brother bought it, and we got to cooperate with him through pretty much half of the game. It is a load of fun.
I also liked how Nintedno brought back certain elements from the previous games, such as selecting items from the map screen (Super Mario Bros. 3), or riding Yoshi (Super Mario World), and the Koopalings themselves.
As for how far, my brother has already finished it...100%.
I highly suggest many Nintendo fans to purchase it. It will be very worthy your while.

I agree. And for NSMB DS fans, this game is just as good. Some of the secret exits are disappointingly easy to find, but other than that, very, very good.

I (unsparkly) 5-stared it ages ago. Then restarted to sparkly 5-star it without using the propeller cap (except for the couple of levels it's required for Star Coins and secret exits). I haven't finished that yet.

I just finished it. Beat all levels, found the secret exits, got all the star coins. But blew my sparkle trying to get some of those coins. :c

I like it and I don't like it.

My biggest complaints would be that it's "new". I like the older days; pre-GCN and Sunshine. Back then everything wasn't as happy. A lot of the official art back then shows Mario looking kinda angry or grumpy... at least in comparison to his constant state of :D that we see him in today. He was also shorter and pudgier back then. Also I really want Yoshi to go back to having a sever posture problem instead of standing perfectly upright.

I'm not fond of the look of the game. It reminds me a lot of the All-Stars version of the original SMB. Which I found really boring, pedestrian, and lacking the personality of SMB3, SMW, or the brilliant YI in terms of visuals, even though it was the SNES version.

Why doesn't this game not like up? I can't look up. I can't throw shells upwards. I don't get it. You could do that in SMW. Did Mario forget how to throw?

Yoshi can flutter. Neat. I welcome that. But, he can't do anything else he used to be able to do. Nu multiple colours. No different powers if you have different coloured shells in your mouth...on that note...were there any blue and yellow Koopa Troopas in this game? You can't carry him between levels and he shows up in very few levels.

Two generic toads in multiplayer. At least make it Toad and Toadette.

Like with the DS NSMB, the music bugs me. If Kondo isn't writing the music, at least get Yuka Tsujiyoko. What she did with Paper Mario perfectly captured the Mario feeling. The composers they've gotten to work on the NSMB series however have not. And I still do not like enemies dancing to the music.

I don't really have any complaints on the difficulty. Games seemed harder when I was difficult. I replayed Super Mario Bros., Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2, Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island DS, and New Super Mario Bros. Just prior to starting this game. Doing 100% completion on Yoshi's Island DS gave me the most difficult. Based on just level design alone, the winner is Lost Levels. Doing 100% completion of NSMBWii isn't as difficult as Yoshi's Island DS and just playing the levels regularly isn't as difficult as Lost Levels, but I think it was fine. Once you get to World 4 it gets good - not a breeze, but no incredibly frustrating either.

Return of nice overworld maps, return of the Koopalings, no Mega Mushroom and very little use of the mini Mushroom yay, new power ups, and overworld enemies. Overall an 8/10 for me.

It draws elements from the other previous games, such as the music, characters, and gameplay. I love how everything is put back into a game and added with even more twists and originality. The main bosses of SMB3, Yoshis from SMW, carriable objects and the toads from SMB2, Kamek from Yoshi's Island... It's all jam-packed into one little game!

Well sweeties, I played it, beat it over 10 times, got all the coins and secrets, got the sparkly stars, I loved it. I wish it was a little harder though. Well it could if I had 2 more other people play with my brother and I. Then again we prefer people in our skill level. XD

I generally hate side-scrolling Mario games and this game doesn't really appeal to me either. The multiplayer is the only thing that would make me want to play it but no one in my family plays video games.

I've watched every video regarding New Super Mario Bros. Wii on the Nintendo Channel (don't judge me >:), and it's just awesome. It makes me wanna get it so bad. It'll probably be the next game I get, unless I wait long enough for HeartGold and/or SoulSilver to come in English, or I get a sudden urge to play Pokémon Rumble and want to save some money.

But yeah, I've seen what you can do with the game, and really, they've added some really neat stuff that I never would've thought of. There are a whole bunch of secret features for a player to figure out for themselves, such as the super jump thingy.

And I really like the newer addition of outfits, or suits, such as the Penguin Suit and the Propeller Suit, to make things easier and make Mario look cooler. And just like all Mario games that sport this same gameplay and style, it offers some nice, clean, nostalgic gameplay. And this time, it's fun to play with family and friends! (:♥

I think it's a great game. It's not as good as SMB3 or World in my opinion, but I really liked it.

That said, I beat Story mode, I got all the star coins of World 1 and 2 (and their levels in W9 as well), and once Spring Beak comes in I might get the rest of the SC.

I've also beaten it twice, and I'm thinking of playing through it again during Spring Break.

    My complaints about it are:
    - The final castle. Nintendo, 2 rooms. Are you &"%!ing serious?
    - The lack of difference in minigames.
    - The amount of stuff the Hint Movies give away.
    - The lack of originality in the players (two Toads, you can't be serious). Someone already mentioned having Toadette. Good idea, dude.
    - The few times you see Peach. After Peach is saved, she could replace Toad in her castle.
    - The odd control for picking up items.
    OVERALL RATING: 9.2/10

It's my favorite 2D Mario game. I guess I can understand that people might not like having two playable Toads, but I can also understand why Nintendo did it rather than including Toadette or Peach (if four little boys are playing the game, then one of them would have to suffer playing as the girly pink character, and they would probably feel embarassed).

I thought the game was amazing as well! I only got to play it while I was visiting someone, but we still got pretty far. I'm pretty sure we were half-way through World 8! I don't remember how many star coins we obtained, but it was definitely a fun game.

I'd have to say that it's my favorite Wii game released in '09. However, I'm mildly disappointed by the dual Toads and just how difficult some of the later levels can be with multiple players. Overall, it's a great game, is challenging in the old-school Mario kinda way, and will keep me entertained trying to get all of the Star Coins.

I'm playing it for the second time now, and so far I've got all star coins and secret exits from world 1-6.

Overall, I think this game is great! Most (perhaps all, I don't really remember) levels are unique in some way, it's great to be able to play with friends(!), it rocks to have Yoshi, etc, etc.

What I don't like in this game is that you can't play online! Why did they create an awesome multiplayer Mariogame, for the Wii, where you can't play online! And, as said, the fact you can't have Yoshi with you all the time kinda sucks, but it's still a great game, and...yeah, it's awesome^^

I think I would rate this game... 9.9157/10

I recommend this game to everyone!! :3
