What do you think of this team?

I have been considering a team for HG and after much process of elimination I have kind of decided a team, but I would like to hear of any flaws from you people. (I apologise if this isn't in the correct place, I'm new here).

    Meganium
Umbreon/Espeon (I don't mind which, I won't force it to evolve into any form, either will do).
Starmie/Lapras I'm not sure which to have, Starmie is part psychic and has really high sp. atk, but Lapras is a tank.
    Ampharos
    Fearow
    Arcanine.

Could anyone suggest maybe a better flying type? I've never really liked playing with Fearow, but his statistics seem quite good.

I would love to hear any more suggestions. :3

Hmm, I'm considering now including a Heracross. Opinions?

Moved to in-game team rate for you.

My two cents - seems ok to me. Umbreon is very defensive (so stuff like Toxic/stalling is something to consider) while Espeon is a frail hard hitter mind but both can be useful. I would personally go for Lapras as it has more use against the E4 (insta access to STAB Ice Beam) and good defensively as well, only 'difficulty' is the friday-only thing but that's not much. Fearow can be decent and would be of good help to you come the 2nd gym (especially as you're going the grass starter). If you do consider a Heracross they are amazing, not sure what you'd want to replace for it though.

Anything works for in-game. That said, if you wind up with Espeon, get Lapras for the tanking. Umbreon is already a tank, so if you wind up with it get Starmie.

Also, you might consider only using 4 or fewer main Pokemon. The fewer Pokemon you try to keep leveled, the more EXP there is to go around for them. Easiest way to beat the game is to play through with one Pokemon. It quickly becomes so overpowered relative to everything else in the game you just steamroll things...

I like to pick 2 Pokemon for HM slaves (I intend to post a thread on the subject once I can include pictures), and pick 4 Pokemon to do my fighting. They stay pretty well-leveled without being completely overpowered and I usually don't have to grind much for the Elite Four. And with all 8 HMs on my two HM slaves I don't have to waste space on Rock Smash etc.
