WHAT GEN DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST

    I personally think johto(2nd) is the best gen. region, pokemon, story, it tops it all. then hoenn, then kanto, then sinnoh.
    if you think about it
    johto is the best in tv shows, movies, pokemon, characters, story, region, geography, ANYTHING.
    What do you think:?

    Gold/Silver/Crystal have also the best story.
     
    I don't get it, why does G/S/C has the best story? I mean, it's just encounter Ho-Oh and Lugia by defeating the Team Rockets. I personally prefer R/S/E and D/P/Pt. First of all, R/S/E is more like the sake of Hoenn, natural disaster. D/P/Pt is like R/S/E, save the world from destroying the world's balance. The lamest story that a region has is Kanto. =/ But Sevii Island is good, as good as G/S/C.

    Johto
    Kanto
    Sinnoh
    Hoenn
     
    2nd gen is the best in my opinion, it's just the most fun to play for me.

    Next is 1st, just for the nostalgia factor.

    Then 3rd, Hoenn is quite cool, but too much water, and i can't really retrace WHY Team Aqua/Magma want to expand Water/Land, what use would they have from it? Natures might be a good idea for competitive battling, but ingame it's quite annoying having to catch 15 of the same Pokemon to get a nature that doesn't suck.

    Last is 4th gen. It's plot might be the best, and the physical/special split by moves and not by types is the best idea gf had for ages, but the games are sooo slow, that ruins it.



    Remember, this are just opinions.
    Oh, and is it really necessary to write the entire thread name in caps?
     
    My favourite region is Hoenn! I love all the Pokemon, and R/S/E have really interesting and catchy plots!

    Because that's the most original. In witch other game is you rival the bad one?? in witch other game you must go to left in the start. And so can i go farther. OK, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum have beter style, just like ruby saphire & emerald, but the whole story of the other 3 regions is +/- the same, excluding in the Jotho.
     
    Johto was the best/most fun by far. That's way so many are pumped about HG/SS, all the fun ov Johto, with all the added mechanics of the newer GEN's.
     
    I like Sinnoh the best it has strong pokemon.
     
    I think Sinnoh went too far with their Pokemon and Legendaries. Pokemon have cornered themselves with Arceus the God already.

    I think Kanto, purely because they have created the start of Pokemon and everything really has been built up from them. I also like the authentic ^^
     
    R/S/E had the best storyline (well, okay, Emerald had the best storyline, as Ruby and Sapphire kinda sucked :B) but Kanto is my favourite region. So, Generation 1. (: Then Johto. Sinnoh had a cool storyline, but like others said they got extremely over-the-top with their Legendaries. plus Pearl WILL NOT LEAVE MY MANSION. gtfo, dude. it's been a week. D:

    It basicly for me goes: Johto, Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh. Sorry, Johto rocks and Sinnoh sucks. Its kinda obvious...
     
    Hoenn would have to be my favorite region and generation altogether. Their story line started something new for the games and also differed from the rest as it never went overboard nor was it uninteresting. The Pokémon designs weren't all bad and it has quite an abundance of many favorable locations. Being the first region I ever played in and moving back in generation to the newest again, it remains my favorite above all.

    However, Johto comes in a close second to Hoenn as some of my favorite Pokémon originate from this region as well as because the games and anime made it all the more worthwhile of a region to start with.
     
    1st - Johto
    2nd - Hoenn
    3rd - Sinnoh
    4th - Kanto (IT SUCKS!)
