What happened if you had to PAY to be apart of PC?

I wouldn't continue to be part of the community if PC became a paid-site and you had to have some type of subscription to be part of it. So yeah, I'd be peacing out ASAP!

Well, as this is a fan-site, it would possibly be illegal to charge for membership in the first place.
Although I don't think it would be illegal in itself to pay the staff here; I say 'in itself' since paying with what can be called profits would be illegal, but paying them donations or out of Steve's pocket wouldn't, as those aren't sources of money that Nintendo or Game Freak would otherwise have themselves.
 
Then goodbye forever PC, unless I get a credit card out of nowhere.
 
Unfortunately for me I will have to leave too. Now if it is only like maybe $3-$5 dollars a month, maybe I will stick around a little more. But then I will end up leaving if I skip a payment or whatever. It wouldn't be worth it. But since I donated and helped out a bit. PC won't need to do that. It can live on by donations. ^_^

I'd be gone in a hurry if they decided to require payment to continue being a member of PC if they refused to waive the fee for supporters like me...who have essentially already paid out of the kindness of our hearts to keep the site's bills paid.

PC is a great site, but I could easily find a niche in an up and coming community like Bulbagarden.
 
I'd have to leave because unfortunately I am not able to pay. But I'd find a way to hack into the system and still be a member without paying Maybe it would be a good thing because I won't be addicted to internet that much anymore. Just joking lol, it would still depress me.
 
It depends on if the community even survived the damage. If it did, then I'd pay. If it didn't...well...

there'd be no real point to it would there.

Chances are it would not survive intact, that being said.
 
I'd leave in a heartbeat. It's not like I don't want to pay, it's I can't, and even if I can, I wouldn't. 'Cause you know, there are loads of other Pokemon forums out there.

That happened to me once, I was playing some online game and like, you need to pay and stuff. It was fun but not worth it.
 
PC would become more exclusive and more like it was back in the olden days of yore. I might stick around seeing as I've already donated $40 already between my two main accounts just to see how PC would change and how dynamically different the "feel" becomes. XD
 
I'd honestly pay just to be on here it's a great community/forum and would never leave it even if it was a monthly subscription I usually somehow get spare change or dollars where I can add on my PayPal or even debit card for that matter. So I don't think I'd leave it anytime soon. xD
 
I wouldn't be able to afford it, so I'd be gone. It probably wouldn't be worth staying anyway since most of the active members would leave.
 
Well I guess it depends on how much it would cost to be a part of this community. If it's an affordable amount, I'd probably pay. PC is a pretty great forum.
 
I'm a moderator. So I think I would be getting paid, and not the reverse!

I'd just pay.

No different than shoveling out some money to be a Supporter / raise your Tier.
 
Honestly, I'd probably leave. It's not that I couldn't afford it -- it's that I think it wouldn't be right to make members pay for the site. I understand that PC's servers have to be paid for but they've been doing it for years with free membership and I doubt they'll actually need all of us to pay to stay alive. Therefore I'd just leave on principal. >_<

There's a slim chance I'd stay, because I've been here for years and don't want to leave, but I think the injustice of it all would win in the end. Maybe.

I swear to god if you give Steve ideas I'm gonna cry. ;;
 
Since I don't know many people, I haven't done anything that has changed the forums, and I don't think many people like me, I'd just leave and go back to one my my forums.
 
If the fee gained me nothing but membership?

And no, not the British program.
 
I would probably have to leave, as I don't currently have a job...but once I had a job that paid enough for me to be able to afford the fee (if it was subscription based) I'd be back on in a heartbeat. And if it was a one time fee, I would just save up what I could, irregardless of how much it actually was.

I sound addicted to the site or something...>__>
 
I have a lot of friends here, but if I had to pay I couldn't stay. I don't have that kind of money.
