I'm totally disappointed with windows vista…Because 2 month before I bought the windows vista 32bit version…until now always happen some problem to my laptop...So I think to change my OS again. So what OS do you prefer to me?

I've used Vista for over two years and had no problems whatsoever.

Mine would be Mac OS X. I have been using it for 5 months now and I never encountered a problem, yet. It boils down to personal preference. Windows 7 is a pretty good OS, IMO. If you're a Windows user and want to stay that way, upgrade/change your OS to Windows 7.

Windows 7. It's the best OS I have ever used. It takes way less memory than Vista and that's what I like in this OS mostly.

I have Windows 7 now but I too have used Vista and haven't had any problems at all. I still prefer Windows 7, though.

I used to love Windows XP but know windows 7 has changed my opinion.

Windows 7 actually has slightly higher recommended requirements than Vista. It's just that computers that come with it have better hardware than the ones that were out when Windows Vista debuted, and that Windows 7 has better resource management methods than Vista.

I prefer Windows 7, though, because of all the interface changes that make it easier to find stuff.

There is no overall best or we'd all be in agreeance and this thread wouldn't exist, so for what works for me: Windows 98. I am however actually using XP of present on my main machine, a sign of the times...

If I say Windows 3.1, will you attack me? :x

Okay, that's one of the best OS that had existed. But right now my choice is between Ubuntu 10.4 or Windows 7. Both are very good OS.

I don't have one, but rather two: Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7. Both work great for both light and heavy use (my machines, a MacBook circa 2008 and a netbook circa 2009, run both and are subjected to both types of use), and if you can get a Mac or if you can Hackintosh your existing PC (?), I'd recommend them both.
