What is with the beginnings of these episodes

really the beginnings of these new episodes are wierd they start out in the very middle of something and then they go to the intro song and after that its as if the stuff that happened in the beginning never happened for example in the episode where dawn caught burnery, at the begining it started off with dawn fighting a burnery and then there was a huge explosion from the fighting and right in the middle of the explosion the intro song started. after the intro it showed their camp with dawn screaming because she a baby and cant live with a bad hair day, and as if she never fought the burnery

The series has been doing it quite a bit, and I find it interesting, yet weird. Anyway, I may leave this open if people want to talk about the series' new use of those. Whee.

Yeah, I figured it was a preview.
Didn't know they were called Cold Openings, but it makes sense.

Still its weird, and I liked it better when they showed the first minute or so of the episode, and then played the theme..

They're called a cold opening? I never knew that.. but I did notice them doing so especially when I started watching the Japanese D/P episodes.
