For some reason, I've always enjoyed the Surf animation in every game. I think it's simultaneously goofy and exhilarating. Just kinda fun to watch.

Perish Song for sure. You hear violins start to play this atonal musical. The colors of the screen revert to black and white, and out of the shadows the color red begins to fill the screen as malformed musical notes float in the air, hovering around the doomed combatants. Its like you've stumbled into the middle of some creepy pasta. In fact its got me thinking about the story Lost Silver now as we speak.

I've always liked the animation for Flamethrower, especially in Gen 4 games, more than any other move animations. Draco Meteor's animation is a close second.

I just remembered! I love Solarbeam in Gen III, also because of the sound but it just looks like destruction. Too bad it became a literal beam of sunlight in later generations.

Every time you use Surf, it's actually removing excess water from the Hoenn region to raise ORAS's IGN rating above 7.8.
