I have two GBCs, a trading link, and my games are

Pokemon Yellow,
Pokemon Silver.

This is my pokemon silver team. i tried to make it just like Red's. :D
 
Nidoking, Cloyster, and Dodrio.
In Yellow, Nidoking and Dodrio are lvl 53, while Cloyster is lvl 52.
I'm about to play through Crystal with the same team. I'm sending over a Doduo egg to start me off.

I've come a long way, it feels sweet to get this far in my favourite Pokemon game.

I can still remember my original team on Yellow, my first ever Pokémon team :D .

Pikachu called Ash I think, not sure why :P .

Charizard called Char, imaginative.

Blastoise called erm, probably something like Squirty or Blasty :P Hey, I was like 7.

Nidoking. Called Poopy. REAL MATUREEEEE.

Dragonair, dunno what it was called. I remember my friend telling me it evolved on Lv.50 (Of course it doesn't) so I trained it to Lv.50 and it didn't evolve. Then for some reason I started a new game because I was so annoyed it didnt evolve... Erm ok.

Dunno what else I had :P .

In Crystal my mega team was Houndoom, Miltank, Nidoking, Espeon and Slowbro :cool: .

My favourite team in Crystal was (all 100lvl)
Blissey
Tyranitar
Dragonite
Gyarados, the Blue (only because it was WAY better than the red one)
Magneton (I wish Magnezone was in GSC...)
Gengar

This was my cable link battle team, all of them were traded to Blue (not Tyranitar) for some TMs unobtainable in GSC (e.g. Substitute, Explosion)

I had also many monotype teams for the game play, and theme team e.g. Ash's Johto/Kanto team, Rocket pokemon, Safari Pokemon, Caught at Night/Day/Route XX team. It was pretty fun!
and as some of you wrote- Octillery is a great pokemon in GSC!!! I always loved it! The only bad thing was its speed...
