Well I've literally played through the G/S/C hundreds of times and R/B/Y about 50/60 times, and I'd say they're pretty fair estimates. So I won't post every team only my original teams for Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver and Crystal the first time I played through each game.

-Venusaur Lv.90something (I focused on this guy cause I'd already raised the other two, that's why they were slacking)

-Typlosion Lv.100 (Or however you spell his name, I shared this game with my brother and we'd actually argue over who he liked more LOL)
-Entei Lv.90something (I remember being pretty close to level 100 with this guy but never quite getting there, I only caught it cause my brother said to save the masterball for suicune)
-Lugia Lv.70something (Remember spending some long ass time finding it in them whirpool caves and catching it with like great balls, it took forever, I also remember I taught my lugia Fly lol)
-Wigglytuff Lv.50something (I lent my game to my female cousin and she caught like a level 3 jigglypuff after I finished the game and she made me promise to train it or she'd drop the game in a pond, and I gave it the exp. share, believe or not my family often feuded over pokemon)
-Gyarados Lv.50 something (The shiny one, Basically a Hm slave, he knew Surf, Waterfall, Whirpool and Strength and still proper used him in battles lol)
-(Wasn't really a final member to my team I was constantly switching between different pokes with the exp. share by the end of the game)

Crystal
-Meganium Lv.60something (No fond memormies :c)
-Dragonite Lv.70something (Probably my favourite crystal pokemon, he was the extreme speed dratini and I trained him up)
-Machamp Lv.68 (haha only remember the exact level cause I have a clear vision of when I cloned him, he was definitely 68)
-Suicune Lv.70something (I just remember feeling really good cause I didn't use my masterball on it like my brother insisted you had to)
-Ampharos Lv.80something (Probably closer to 90, I remember not liking him too much but he just beasted everyone)
-(Again no real final team member, I tried to use Ho-oh cause I hadn't used it on any other games, but I never really liked Ho-oh I think Raikou was my main one [who had Flash LOOL] and I used my masterball on him)

I haven't gotten a chance to play my Yellow much, but my team now consists of:

I've got a fun one. I go through my older games on a semi regular basis, and I just went the whole way through Crystal with:

Feraligatr lv 60
Skarmory lv 60
Beedrill lv 60
Vileplume lv 60

That's it. That's as high as the levels got going the whole way through the game, and the other two pokemon on my team at any given point were my "HM slaves". Oh, and the Beedrill definitely pulled its weight, by the way. Took out the Gyarados and Exeggutor on Blue's team at the end. ^^

I have restarted on my Pokémon Crystal a couple of days ago (a friend had borrowed it a long time so I wanted to play it for myself now), and this is my team.

Primeape
Rhydon
Feraligatr
Charizard
Ampharos
Dragonair

They are all level 44-46, so I haven't won the whole game yet, just Johto and 3 Gyms in Kanto. And yes, some of them are traded. Primeape from Red to Silver, then to my Crystal. Never used him in Silver so he was awesome here against Whitney's Miltank.
Charizard came as an egg from Silver and Ampharos as a little Mareep, lv6.

I chose Totodile over Cyndaquil cause I always use Cyndaquil, but not this time. Although I hate that Feraligatr can't learn Watefall. Extremespeed Dratini took care of that tough. The Rhydon got captured in Victory Road (as Rhyhorn).

Because of restarting on Pokemon Red for a monotype challenge, here's my new team:
