6th Gen what kind of events do you expect in the new game?

since the last pokemon's game i played (no in emulator) was gold, i'm not that familiar with the events aspect of the new games, but for this one, seeing as this is the next gen (is it proper to call it like that?) of the portable pokemon's games, my hope is that the events will also take to the challenge.
i really hope to see global events (much like the torchic one and more unique) on par with the kind of events mmorpg have, though this might wishful thinking.
something that will make the game more grand than just its story.

i'm sure experience players, probably most people here, will be able to share a more detailed, relevant and focused hope for the new game's event, so let's hear it!

In past generations, events have been mostly limited to legendaries. However, wit the introduction of mega stones, with certain stones like the Blazikenite only being obtainable thorugh event, I think it's likely that there will be many events for mega stones, too.

My knowledge of events are fairly limited. I never really paid attention the the global-link events.

I don't know much about upcoming events either, but one of my expectations for events is to see more Pokemon with hidden abilities, and maybe also pack a rare item such as a damage-reducing berry or a rare candy.
