What kind of Traveling companion Ash should have ???

What's 'showcased with them' supposed to mean?
 
Frick knows. The way it's phrased seems to mean that Clemont and Bonnie are part of the main cast, but Serena and Viola may be recurring characters. Perhaps they'll be travelling together and occasionally meeting up with the main crew but not constantly with them. Maybe Serena will be Ash's rival and Viola along for the photography opportunities? idk. That's an interesting setup though. Like I don't think five would work for the main crew because the writers seem to have a hard time handling lots of characters at once and there would probably be horrendous rotation issues, but three and some recurring friends would probably do well.

That's another thing. I really wish that with the main cast (Ash & his travel companions), they try to apply constant motion and stop with the ancient rotational focus method. I hope, at least.

It'd definitely sky-rocket the production costs, but they should try to keep up with the times regardless.
 
I dunno, they did pretty well in DP I think. /watching rn. But what I meant by rotation was in terms of storytelling; a ton of characters often leads to some getting shafted in development, screentime, and relevance to plot. Writers just seem to not keep track of everyone very well.

Ohh, ok yeah. That's true as well, actually almost all the time when you find there's always one character who has little to add to the conversation or little relevance at all.
 
If any character is ignored, it's going to be Bonnie. I mean, it's likely that she doesn't have a Pokémon and doesn't know enough to have much of an input, so she's not marketable and not much use for exposition. She'll just be the one asking "why?" or "what is that?". I don't want that for her ;;

I actually do want that for her. I want Ash to know the things and have the answers this time around.
 
No I mean I don't mind her being the one having things explained to her- that'd actually be the best role to put her in. What I mean is that I want her to be more than that- I want her to have personality and input, showing what she's learned over time, maybe having specialized knowledge of something she loves. I don't want her to just be there to have things explained to her.

I have to agree with you in that respect. Filler characters are always terrible, and I'd hate to see the Pokemon anime suffer because of it.
 
I hope Ash & Serena will have similar background & relationship like Ritsu & Mio (K-on)!

Their Backstory should be like-

Just like Mio , Serena was a lonely shy girl who usually got annoyed by Ash ! One day she win an essay contest and she had to read aloud a front of everyone but she was too afraid .
Ash find her all depress about it at playground and try to cheer her up by complimenting on her winning the essay contest and get to read it front of everyone only for Serena to get angry and shout '' If You like it then why don't you do it'' !
Seeing Serena could be like this , Ash find her interesting and took her to his house for helping her .
There Ash told her to think of everyone as a Pineapple and he pretend to be a Pineapple too which cause Serena to laugh.
Afterward , Serena manage to deliver the speech perfect because of Ash's advise .
Ever since then , She start visiting Ash's house everyday to play with him .
He & She was inseparable until Serena's parent had to move to Kalo region .
Before she leave , Ash made a promise with her which she still remembers !


I always find it hard to believe that Ash doesn't seem have any childhood friend accept Gary who was his Childhood rival !!!

I can. She'd be the one who looked after Clemont because he would be too busy with inventions and stuff, so he'd forget to eat, therefore, lil' Bonnie to the rescue!

Although I was hoping for Ash, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno, I can definitely get behind Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie. What I wanted that I did get was a Hoenn-like quartet, and I'm sooo happy! It's gender equal, too. A first for the series.

I know Alexa will definitely be a recurring character throughout the Kalos region, but I'll still hold out on Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno appearing in the Anime and be recurrers also. I'd think they'd be too good an opportunity to miss out on.

Also, I'm hoping they give Bonnie at least one Pokemon, like maybe a Flabébé. It would be an out of ball Pokemon that is cute and that wouldn't battle much, but would still pitch in on occasion. (I still wish they'd have let Max keep that Ralts...)

For the Starters, I'm all for Ash having Chespin and Froakie, with Serena having Fennekin since she's gonna be new.
 
It would be funny if Ash couldn't reconize Serena until he See her angry face.
Who know , May be Ash & Pikachu falling from the sky the first time because Serena punch him so hard that it send him flying !!!!

Example :

(Serena run into Ash )

Serena : A-Ash !!! W-What are You doing here ? I never though I will met you here.

Ash : A-ah , Excuse me ! Do I know You ???

Serena : ........What ???

Ash : I mean , You know My name and all ! I know , You saw me on TV , right!!!

Serena : .....TV

Ash : See Pikachu , We are so popular even people from Kalo region know us !!!

Pikachu : Pikaaaaa

(Ash see's Serena body is shaking and her eye got cover by her hair)

Serena : Y-You ...Y-You

Ash : Hey , You Okay !!!

(Serena suddenly grad Ash by collar )

Serena : YOU STUPID STUPID STUPID ASH ! HOW COULD YOU FORGOT ABOUT ME? YOU IDIOT!!!

Ash : That face !!! S-Serena , Is that really you ???

Serena : Now You remember me ! I recognize so easily but you can't even remember me without me getting angry

Ash : S-Sorry about that ! But you become so cute that I couldn't recognized You!

Serena : Wait , D-Did you just call me cute .

Ash : Off Course I did, You really did become cute .

(Serena face become bright Red as she punch Ash & Send him flying without realizing it and look at other way)

Serena : W-What Are saying ! C-Cute , You don't say those thing out aloud .

(Then She notice Ash isn't there )

Serena : Ash , Where did he go ???

(She look around and see Ash falling from sky )

Serena : Oh no , I did that to him again !!!

 
I want Serena to be a ''Pokemon Explore'' who job is exploring .
I Think , Serena might be the Kotori (Yugioh Zexal) of Pokemon !!!
I have no problem with it , Misty was pretty much the Kotori (Yugioh Zexal) of Pokemon During Kento series but that series still the highest rated Pokemon Series.
It because Misty had a Role instate of Goal!
Her role was to straighten Ash up who was too cooky .
In reality , That the type of Female cast the Pokemon series need .
After all , Pokemon is the Kids Anime about A Boy reaching his Goal.
That how Kento series was treated and thats why Kento Series still Popular .

Well this is going to be a Idea for the Traveling Companion for Ash and Pikachu to have and a new Idea for a new set of Villains for Ash and his Companions to deal with.

To be honest I feel like Jessie, James and Meowth are kind of overplayed as Villains and I do feel it is time for them to retire from Team Rocket, Yes I do know people will say well they are apart of The Storyline and they are the most well known villains of Ash and Pikachu. But remember Ash and Pikachu always have new Travel Companions why not a set of new main villains that are always following and harassing Ash and Pikachu.


This may have been mentioned but I would love for Jessie, James and Meowth resign from Team Rocket and they "Evil Ways" and start their own lives.


To be honest If they decided to make a new region for Ash and Pikachu to explore. I would love to see Ash, Pikachu and James to be Travel Companions along with a new Companion or Two to go with them. Like when the new Companion(s) meet Ash, Pikachu and James they can ask How Ash, Pikachu and James met and other fun things for Ash and James to talk about the past of when they were enemies. As for another Companion Ash and Pikachu I would not know I would like someone unique and different : )

Lets say when ash is getting to Kalos and exploring all the site, he isnt aware of a shy Serena stalking him, trying to contemplate if she should go reintroduce herself to ash.

then ash get knocked out unconscious and Serena drags him back to her house.

while she is waiting for him to wake up, she starts staring at his face.

she gets closer and closer till she stole a kiss from an unconscious Ash

by the time Serena opens her eyes from the kiss, she see that Ash is awake too.

Serena hides behind anything to stop Ash from looking at her while professing he won't ever get married like this.

While ash, still hazed at where he is, non of them noticed that some one else was watching the kiss. And he was furious

Now introducing, Silent type big brother who excels at everything Pokemon... RED! (because he is quiet and Fan-service)

Ash and Red's eyes meet and because of what just happened, Red already dislikes him.

Red asks his sister to explain in a loud tone, and she hesitates to answer because of the trouble she in

Ash then remembers that he was knocked out from the story. he thanks Serena with a big smile, which makes her fluster and annoys Red.

Red then makes a joke about how Ash was like some child, getting hurt in city, which gets Ash Super-irritated.

-mutual stare-

then Red ask if Serena got the Pokemon she wanted, causing her to flip out a lil because she realizes she forgot to, Red ask why. Serena can't answer but her subtly body reactions point to Ash distracting her.

Ash is like "Huh?" cause he don't understand, then Red says "idiot" under his breathe while grabbing his sis and running out throwing out his Rapidash when he gets outside so that they can speed on to the Lab to get a pokemon in time. This Pokemon sparks a memory of a Fire horse pokemon in his childhood

Ash Goes outside and tries to chase them but remember there seems to be no one else in the house and stay there until they get back

see what i would want is for ash to be accompanied by a Shy girl who wants him and is super polite but a little brash (or rash... like some hard-headed i guess) she could also do the cooking

then her Big brother who is Super-superior in everything Pokemon but is protective and a bit of a silent lone wolf type. He could easily be the mentor to his sis, take care of the pokemon like Brock did, and SUPER-intimidate any guy who is trying for his sis.

They all have connections from childhood. Red would only come alone at first to prevent Ash from taking Serena's hand in marriage (but it wouldn't be so obvious). He really doesn't respect ash and this lead to them butting heads.

at the start of their Jorney together Ash puts out his hand to shake Red's. Red uses this chance to pull ash in so he can whisper in his ear "i really don't like you". Then ash responds in his ear "Really? thought i was the only one" but more ash like i guess :U

BTW, Jessie, James, and Meowth will quit Team Rocket, retrieve ALL their old Pokemon (Except Gardenia's Cacnea and Benny's Lickitung), and become spies for Looker, maintaining their sneakiness for a useful purpose and living in boxed-lunch heaven)

- Clemont is the inventor of ''Super training'' in the game ! So Clemont journey might have something to do with inventing ''Super training'' .

-Bonnie ''finding Clemont a Wife'' Gag aren't that funny because she use some french word to say ''be my brother wife'' .
How will Kids laugh if they doesn't even understand what Bonnie ask Viola to do !

-Well , Serena hate Rhyhorn racing so she might have something else as her goal .
However , There no point of giving Serena a Goal if Viewer doesn't know what Serena need to achieve in order to reach her goal .
Example : We all know that May & Dawn need to win 5 ribbon & Grand festival in order to be Top Coordinator .
But What Does Iris need to achieve to become a Dragon Master ???
Writer couldn't figure that out so they couldn't develop Iris properly .
