What are some cringeworthy lines you've heard in the anime? ...Every time I heard Ash say he was "psyched" during the Sinnoh region, I wanted to slap myself, tbh.

I mean, some of the puns in the series are pretty Onxypected. I'm not sorry. Honestly, as someone who loves puns, I can't help but laugh at so many of them. As well as how lame they can be.

One of the worst lines in the "cringeworthy" regard is in Mewtwo Strikes Back, when Ash responded that vikings (which Jessie, James, and Meowth were disguised as, but Ash and his group didn't realize it right away) "mostly live in Minnesota", which apparently is a reference to the Minnesota Vikings NFL franchise.
Then again, there were a lot of seemingly dumb lines in the dub of the first Pokémon movie.

I think the 'Cowterpie' joke from Challenge of the Samurai was the lamest excuse for a joke, even though it was meant to dub over an untranslatable joke that non-Japanese viewers wouldn't understand (for those who don't know, in the original version, Misty says "Mushi! Mushi! Mushi! ...Mushi!" which means "Bug! Bug! Bug! ...Bug!" and Ash then says "Ushi?" which means "Cow?").

I always cringe when Team Rocket says "Blast balls away! Blast balls away!" when throwing bombs in Pallet Party Panic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the word bomb has been previously used in the series and there's even Pokemon moves that have bomb in their names, so why censor it?
