Haha, I'm rather torn between telling you to get TWEWY and CTDS. Both are GREAT games. I just finished Chrono Trigger last night and it's easily one of my top favourite games.

I feel compelled to tell you to get TWEWY again simply because it's a great and complete use of the DS's features, but if there's a chance of you finding your old copy, or you finished TWEWY and want something fresh, CT is a good bet.

Psh, The World Ends With You is definitely the best of the two (imo, Chrono Trigger didn't look that great, though both were made by Square Enix, plus Chrono Trigger is just a remake).

But, I also recommend Summon Night: Twin Age. Summon Night in general is a series, but with different plots and characters each time, as I discovered. But the DS one is really nice.

And, if you like Legend of Zelda, there's always Phantom Hourglass.

Oh, and the Final Fantasy remakes (3 and 4) or 12: Revenant Wings and Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate

But yeah. Go for Square Enix or Atlus games. They make some of the best unique RPGs ever.

"May?"

Dude. Play them. XD

I'd suggest TWEWY If you haven't finished it before losing it. Also, although it isn't a DS Rpg, I suggest you look into the fan-translation of Mother 3.

IMHO I like the Sonic Chronicles rpg.
=D
Neato storyline FTW.

[cue the WHY IS CAMELOT PROCRASTINATING ON A GS3 FOR DS speech]

To be honest, I'm not huge on the DS, and the RPGs are kind of nyeh. If Pokemon Diamond/Pearl wasn't so obviously narrowly aimed at 8 year olds, then maybe that'd be my choice.

Pokémon Platinum of course!

The obvious aside, I'd go with Contact.

*shakes fist in agreement* Has one even been announced?
Ugh, I know. They're starting to annoy me with all their "We might, we might not" interviews. It makes sense though, with the DS's 3-D features and the dual slot... Although Isaac in SSBB was a sign... Hmm, at times like these, I wish I had precognative abilities...

Back on topic now...

The problem with the DS and RPGs is the fact that, especially with Turn Based RPGS like Pokemon, they don't have much in the "using the DS's features creatively" department. Sure, it's easy for a puzzle game to be creative with the stylus, but the RPG is left with selecting buttons with the stylus, which leaves for some pretty simple tapping for selections, which most people consider boring and uncreative.

Who cares about DS Features? I want the damn game, XD. Golden Sun 1 and 2 were amazing without any superfluous hardware features. Just give us the game and forget the whirls and buzzes. I play a game for its great story, not so I can blow into a mic and tap a stylus rhythmically... except when I play Ouendan 2. XD

The problem with that, though, is that GS and GS:TLA absolutely BLEW the GBA's graphics and music capabilities to the limit. That's why it's so difficult to hack, unlike Pokemon. If there was a GS3 for DS, everyone would expect Camelot to make it just absolutely amazing by DS standards. The first go around, it was easy, because GS1 was released a few months after the GBA was released (and it answered the question "What is the potential of the GBA" rather quickly lol), but now it's got competition in the graphics department. (It'd probably own everything still in the music department, though)

Making it on the Wii makes no sense, though, because the game was originally a handheld game, and it wouldn't adjust well.

Saa... people are too whiny. Graphically I can understand, but "using the DS's features" is not a concern. The game won't be any better if it has a puzzle that involves blowing in the mic or closing the DS itself for some reason (God that Phantom Hourglass puzzle was a pissoff). As long as it's a proper GS game with a good, deep story, and interesting characters, I don't care. Hell, I would still love it if it were done with sprite animation, let alone the FFIII/IV-style graphics the DS seems to have capped itself at.

^And as long as the original characters are in it, at least as NPCs but hopefully playable. And that Hamma's playable as well.

Hm... I think we're going way off topic here.

However, I think that if there was a GS3 for DS, it would sell very well, considering that the GS series is loved by almost every single magazine, tv show and website that rates videogames. It's why I can forgive G4 for not liking Pokemon.
