What should be done about Just Pichu?

Attention all: All of you have been requesting stuff for JP. I am working on it - but so far there is no suitable content. Therefore, the board of directors at KyleTech, Ltd. have 3 options that we extend to you:
    1. Broaden just pichu into a wider category.
    2. Make it a big fan fic repository
    3. Just leave as is and watch it fail.
    Please help me on this.

Board of directors? LOL, I just that that was funny...

Isnt it a Pichu fansite? Just have Pichu content

That is what I am trying to do - but we are losing affys fast so we need to find a plan to allow faster addition of content.

Do Not, I repeat DO NOT make it anything else but Pichu. You took on this responsibility. It is a fan site which means fans send you fan fics, art, jokes and what not about pichu. A cool pichu site is https://pichus.com

If its just gonna be content on Pichu, there cant be that much to do, shouldnt It take only maybe a day to write all of the content?(If you really know all about Pichu, If not, you probabally hvae to research, in that case I can see it taking longer, by maybe a day or two....)

Omigosh, What did you do to it!? I just now visited it and dear lord change it back. I wish I had money to buy it ;; I hope you change it back x_o() It was awesome before and now your taking a template with no fansite qualitys and using it on my most beloved pichu site. My lord.... its eerie...

LOL, i'm still laughing about that Board of Directors. Is it a business? Or like something you run at home.. with your pets?..

Also, there is already a Pichus site, you won't get much better than that.

...I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to be really critical right now.

When Just Pichu (JP) was a big site a few years ago, did you even see it? Because whatever you're doing to it now is NOT what it was - it's like you only bought it because you felt reassured it would help the rest of your sites get popular. But then again, maybe not. I really can't tell what you've planned for it anyway. I mean, your "3 options" don't seem very well thought out.

Um... Need I remind you of the title of the site? Just Pichu. Therefore, your content must revolve around Pichu. That's the basis of a fansite - content about the subject (which, in this case, is Pichu). You say there is no suitable content. Why? Only because you HAVE no content. A fansite for a Pokemon could easily have information, game statistics, fanart/fiction, games, anime appearances, and polls pertaining to the Pokemon. That's just off the top of my head with barely any thought put into it, and you say you can't come up with content? Running a fanwebsite isn't about hits or how popular it is - it's about being a fan and doing your best to add to the fanbase. You can't run a Pichu fansite without being a total Pichu fanatic. It's not some corporation or company. It's a WEBSITE. A fansite at that. You don't just throw it together and hope people visit. This sounds corny, I'm sure, but you have to put your heart into it. Your thoughts... your opinions... everything. The site is there to inform and recruit people to the fandom.

A fansite isn't just for random stuff. I can find fanfiction anywhere. The real reason I would want to visit a Pichu shrine is to find out about Pichu. =\ It's not just for fanfiction or fanart. You're kind of missing the point here, causing me to continue wondering if you really know what you tried to do.

I did NOT just read that. How is this even an option? That's obviously not going to help its cause. Your "board of directors" must not be doing a good job, because I can't see how that can help JP to expand and go back to the way it was truly meant to be.

I have been a fan of the site JP for years... since I first discovered Pokemon websites. It was the reason I wanted to go into web design and even though it disappeared from the Internet, it was still an inspiration to me. When it went back up again recently, I was estatic. My favourite website was back together again. When Steph decided to sell it, the only thing that stopped me was the price tag, as I had no way to afford it. But now it looks like this. On that note, why did you change the layout? It was gorgeous before... perfect even. Now it just looks... nothing like a layout. Instead of being full of originality and creativity, it just looks bland and boring. Why get a layout from a free templates page when you've already got one of the best one's on the web?

Okay, I'll stop ranting. But seriously, I can't bear to even see what you've done with it. Therefore, I have a proposal. I would like to take it off your hands. If you were considering to "let it fail," it shouldn't be too hard to just give up ownership, would it? The way you talk about it, it's as if it is just a nuisance to you. Please consider my offer.

I've never been to the original. But if its a Pichu fansite, just make it Pichu. Try to have different things that other fan sites don't have. Have it show the love for Pichu.

Just Pichu? *THE* Just Pichu? The Pichu site I used to LOVE visiting when I first ever got my own site back in like 2000/2001? O_O *stands back and stares* I was so disapointed when that site just....disapeared...I absolutly LOVED it! I really loved Pichu back then (*Still Do*) and I loved seeing a site dedicated to just that little Pok?mon, it was such a sweet site...

I don't know much of the situation here and I can only go by what I've read but seriously if you're not intrested in running this once lovely site, give the job to someone who is, you can't really have other content other than content about Pichu really and as it's been mentioned you need a passion for Pichu to run it, like I need a passion for Pok?mon and Digimon to run my site and although I do have a rather small section dedicated to other animes the rest is ALL on Pok?mon and Digimon, I can't do detailed descriptions on other anime cos they it wouldn't be Pokemon Digimon United.... like Just Pichu wouldn't be Just Pichu with lots of info on other things not related to it.

So yeah I may have just butted in here and I'm sorry if I did but I agree with everything what Lightning said I'd LOVE to see this site back up again, I really would, I'd love to have it as an affiliate too (*It was on my links page for a while before it dissapeared*) but only if it can be put back to it's former Pichu glory and see someone running it seriously.

    And again sorry if I'm interfering or something ^^;

What was the original site's URL? I want to see if it on Internet Archive and check it out. If its there, that would also be useful to restore some of the original content.

Ive checked already TriForce, they all don't work. Trust me I just looked XD..

Anyway I just want to say not to make yo ufeel sad but anyways

Lightning is a very experienced with owning a website and this site was Lightning's faveorite website but you've lost it's total cuteness. It's not a corporation, It's not something taht needs a B.O.D or anything like that. It is a site that takes one person and fans. Fans, not a bord of directirs. If you havent read Lightning's post and maybe do what her request says...

    No suitable content???
Like what the others have said, Just Pichu's theme should be of a totally pichu fansite, a big fan shrine dedicated to Pichu.
In my opinion, fan websites don't really need affiliates unless you (or they) really see a good reason to affiliate with that website (or yours), for having good content or purely in goodwill.

Well said, PSB! ^_^ A fan website exists for fans, and is usually run by a fan him/herself. Fan sites usually have fan articles, fan fictions and fanart, usually contributed by the webmaster, staff and fans. My website is half an example of it, being a fan website plus information centre for the Manga, although I'm short of those at the moment.
I have only discovered the presence of Just Pichu as of this thread, and the layout isn't up to standard. You should put a little more enthusiasm to improve the layout, for example, with Pichu pictures.
If you are to keep working on this website, you can consider adding a Gallery of Pichu pictures. If you don't, maybe you could consider Lightning's offer. I'm sure she will be capable of redoing the place well.

I'm trying to recreate JP as it was. Please donate to JP so I can afford to buy the domain again and re-live the legacy! Including HOSTING, more of the original content, forums, topsites and more!
What is this all about? You don't own the domain?

Lastly (sorry I've got to highlight this out)...
TR, check the News at https://www.pikasurf.com/
Not humilating you, but you ought to do something about your website, it was Blacklisted...

Lightning is very talented. If she does end up taking it over for TeamRocket, will she have to end up paying for it?
I concur, and I think she could do an excellent job. As for funding, I?d assume he?d just?. Hand over the domain but she?d have to pay for the hosting? I dunno. @_@

I do agree, the layout looks like crap now. Before it was beautiful. Honestly now I can?t even tell it?s about my favorite Pok?mon. =\

I don't think he owns the domain at all. (Refer to my previous post about it)

Oh, I see what you mean. I have no idea how that stuff works though, so feel free to ignore me. ._.
