There really is no right or wrong answer to this. It's your character to choose from and the name you pick is really a personal preference more than anything else. The best I can say is possibly play the male in HeartGold and the female in SoulSilver so you get to experience what it is to play as both protagonists, but again this would be your choice in the final decision, not mines.
For the names, Olineye for the male would be my choice because it sounds more original, but again your decision. For the female (if you decide to play as her in SoulSilver), there are many options to choose from really. A simple search in names on Google would give you a wide variety to pick from. :) Hope this helps, but like I said there is no right or wrong answer because it's your choice in the matter.
Why don't you just not post? "geez"why don;t you just put your name? geez
I'll do Soul if I can't find anything for the girl. :)I'm just going to go with my own name as that is what I always use but if you are really having a hard time deciding just use the given name like gold.
I actually saw a Japanese baby name site earlier and a lot of the names stood out to me. :DI usually just use my own name with Pokemon games, but I think it's cool that you're trying to come up with an original name for your character. My favorite strategy is to go on a baby names website and search based on the gender and nationality that I want. I do that all the time when I'm writing stories. I tend to gravitate toward Japanese and Russian names, and you can usually find some really interesting, unique names with those nationalities. Best of luck!
I'll have to go check those out. :DCool! Yeah, I figured Japanese names would appeal to a lot of people, since the Pokemon games are from Japan and all. But I also tend to write a lot of original characters with Russian nationalities, so that's why I suggested that one too.
...........?Just name him AAAAAAAA like every else who plays pokemon.
