I chose Piplup. I think Piplup is a great choice as a starter. It's attacks can be very powerful on rock type Pokémon, So I went with Piplup. I've always been a water Pokémon fan.

What did you guys choose and why?

    Chimchar, I like monkies...

    Also, in before the lock.

    Piplup...
But I regretted not picking Turtwig, Empoleon turned out to be rather useless for me; he was placed in a box at the 6th gym and never touched again.

Well when I first played D/P/Pt I chose Chimchar because I love fire types and thought it was just pretty cool....but if I restart the game or if its erased Ill choose someone else. Like if I didnt like Fire Types so much Id go with piplup because I love Penguins. xD

I picked Piplup. As with every other game, I just picked the one that I liked the looks of the most.

    Other Starters I picked
    Blue/LeafGreen: Charmander
    Yellow: Pikachu XD
    Silver/Crystal: Cyndaquil
    Sapphire/Emerald: Treecko

Well, I go with any thing that flys

R/B: Charmander *evolves into a flying thing*

    Y: Pikachu, *hey, Flying Pikachu.*

G/S/C *if nothing that flys, something that swims* Totodile

R/S/E: Torchic. (Doood, it's eh Chicken.)

D/P/P: Piplup *it's a penguin *bird and swimmer, 2 in 1 for me*

um i traded them over so to my firend then traded them back so i got all three:) makes life a lot easier aswell

Mudkip on Emerald, Chimchar on Diamond. I just go with whoever looks best. (Or because i liek dem!)

For new pokemon games I cannot decide! Like with R/B I LOVE Bulbasaur.
    With G/S/C I LOVE Chikorita
With R/E - I don't dislike any of them, but I don't really like any of them.
With D/P - I like them all a bit more than R/E but not a HUGE fan of Chimchar as I have always found monkeys to be creepy

"In before the lock"? REPORT IT. >:

Back on topic... we've had a bunch of threads like this in the past, and it's not necessary to rinse and repeat.
