3rd Gen What the heck is Scorched Slab???

I've played Pok?mon Ruby for about 183 hours, but I still can't find out what the heck the Scorched Slab on Route 120 is there for! None of the faqs I find online mention it!

it doesn't do anything else other than have TM(Sunny Day) in it.

Uh, there was a TM in there??? I don't remember one... I mean, I didn't go there until I browsed the Pok?Nav after I defeted the E4.

why the heck did they make a cave and all it would contain is a TM? i mean why couldnt they just put the TM on some route. And why'd they name it the "scorched slab"

The Scorched Slab has the Sunny Day TM as Hex Maniac mentioned but it's not like Nintendo needs permission to put it there. =P

Yeah, but maybe it is just like the old man still building a house in Vermillion, it has no meaning, but somehow it may be nostalgic, or it just maybe something to trigger with Mystery Events (Jirachi?).
