    It's not that surprising. I mean every game goes through the development stage, Pokemon Red/Blue/Green were no different.

    I especially like "firefox" [vulpix]

    i would never had played a game with pokemon named like that.
    the only one that wasnt stupid was firefox. come on- flamie? thats the worst name they could possibly have thought of for growlithe

    I love the plays on words. Kara-tee? Hocus-pocus? lol

    I'm sure I have heard Manaty somewhere... or something similar.

    Ny and La, two polluting balls lol
     
    Some of those names are actually the Japanese names of the Pokemon as well.

    But I agree with everybody else that a lot of those names are terrible.
     
    At least they aren't the real names. *looks on the bright side*

    A name that they were deciding to use, before the release, just floating ideas sort of thing...

    Some of those names are just plain funny.... I can't imagine Pokemon to be as popular with those.
     
    Yeah, they were allright. Not bad though.
