(note: I have no clue where to post this, thanks)

Recently I've purchased Super Smash Bros Brawl, and playing like a mad hound. And I just finished playing went to the wii menu and turned the wii off.

I unplugged the caples (you know the red, yellow, and white ones) and turned on my DVD player, but didn't unplug the power to the wii.
My wii is still pluged into power, and has a yellow-ish, orange light from it. And in the area where the disc is to be put/taken out, it's flashing a blue light on and on.

Is this perfectly normal? Is my wii broken? Will this damage the game (SSBB)?

^ ps. if this sounds completely noobish forgive me, I have barely owned my wii, and worry about my consoles XD

Oh... I think the orange/yellow light means that it's connected to the internet, checking for updates and whatnot. And when the disc area glows blue, it means that you have received a new message in your Wii. It happened to me several times when I was subscribed to the 'Check-Mii-Out' channel messages >.> It's completely normal.

Oh i see, so that means I have new messages, okay I get it now!

Thank you very much Shiranui! That's great because I was like freakin out, good to hear it's perfectly normal.

Mods, you are free to lock this thread now. Thank you.

I just got the wii this week. I could use help too. I keep losing and wii sports is the only game I'm good at with it. If the wii was more of a button system or equally both then I would be ruling it. Has to your problem I would ask them. I have about mind and they email you back too.

My Wii does that normaly, and I don't have it connected to the internet. And it shouldn't ruin your SSBB.
