What was the first game console you remember playing?

    Basically, what game console did you first play and how old were you at the time?

    As for me, the first I can recall is the Sega Master System, I was probably about 4 or 5. Can't really remember.....


    Edit: I didn't know there was a similar thread at time of posting.
     
    Mario and the NES...I specifically remember my dad giving the controls to me and saying "Okay, sweetie, it's your turn." Didn't want to put the controls down for a long time.

    N64 or NES.
    Probibly the most fun I had at my cousin's house was watching my cousin play Majora's Mask. And I also remember him letting me borrow his NES. I loved to play Duck Hunt.

    definately Sega Master System for me, i remember playing it when i was 2, when i played Sonic the hedgehog. i wont forget that time.
     
    I'm pretty sure it was the Super Nintendo, way back when it was first released. As for the first game...Star Fox, maybe? Or maybe Super Mario World, I'm not sure which...
     
    NES.... Good times.... Imagine a 5 year old playing one of those driving games with his mother yelling in the background "Get on the road, Nick's driving!!".... Yeah.... Good Times...
     
    It was the N64 at my cousin's house, when I was about 5 or 6 or so. All I remember playing was Super Smash Bros. and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
     
    Well I'm fairly young im only about 13-14 years of age but I remember when I was 4 my uncle let me play his super nintendo and after that i was instantly hooked on video gaming lol
     
    The first game console I ever played was the SNES. I still have that thing :p
     
    It was probably my Game Boy Color, which I got with Pokemon Gold. I remember not knowing how to get out of the house you start in - turns out you don't just step on the doormat, you keep walking and you'll get out. I did figure it out a few minutes later (with the help of my grandfather of course). I remember playing a Sega Genesis which I still have - I think I have a Genesis II and 3, but I haven't really played them recently.

    Never had a Nintendo console (besides the GBC) until I got a GameCube, so that's probably why I think the GC is one of Nintendo's best consoles, even though it is underrated. I mean, it had some great games - Luigi's Mansion, Double Dash!! (everybody seems to hate this one), SSBM (which I actually never had), and more... I think the people who don't like the GC are just those who started playing Nintendo consoles earlier in their life, so their first console was a NES, a SNES or a N64 (I did play a N64 at a car dealership back in 2005 I think, and if I remember correctly it had Pokemon Snap).

    So... that makes the Wii my 2nd Nintendo console (not counting GBs, because I traded in my purple see-through GBC to get a see-through GBA and then a SP which I still have, because I saved up for DS).

    Really? The first Nintendo console I had was the SNES and I love the GameCube as well as Mario Kart: Double Dash. It's probably the only good multiplayer game on the GameCube I have apart from SSBM. Also, I perfer the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess as apposed to the Wii version (don't know why).
     
    Some Sega thing...?
    First I actually remember the details of was a Playstation.
     
    My first console was the N64. I remember playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the first time when I was about 6. I lost the copy by now, but I play the Camecube version in its place. :>
     
    My precious SNES. <3 I remember my first game I played on it was Super Mario World and Legend of Zelda : Link to the Past.
     
    The earliest memory I have of me playing a console game is some TMNT games on the SNES. When I finished that game, I was forever changed into a gamer.
