2nd Gen What'd you name your rival?

I am pretty sure I named him Eddie.

I don't remember what he was called in my old gold version, but in crystal on the vba I always name him Raphiel. The reason for this is that I was once in this really good RPG where I had two characters, Iatos and Raphiel, whos lives intertwined in teh eventual battle at the RPGs close. So now in crystal I always name myself Iatos and my rival Raphiel, sort of as a tribute.

Because he always beats me at Pokemon XD, and when I call my rival his name...I get to beat him! That's kinda sad XD.

I usually name him Kaz.
It was the nickname of one of my good friends and rivals in an MMO I used to play.

It was weird seeing it as a default name. (I think that was on FR?)

In Red I called him Blue, and in Diamond I called him Frieza. Not sure why, it was the first name that came into my head

I would name him silver at first, but then I went on to name him a bunch of names I cannot repeat on any forum for they were vulgar. I was young and naive when I last played my Gold though.

In G/S/C I always named him ??? because that is what they called him in the first battle XDDD
I also always got pissed at him at the start when he pushed me away O_o

I did the exact same thing.
As a child, I was rather stupid.
I actually thought that you'd find out his true name later on :P

In Crystal I named him Marcus, while when I first got Gold, I'd always name him Silver. I forgot what I named him on this reset, as I haven't battled him in a long time...

In Crystal I named him: 'IDK ' which stands for "I don't know.
in Silver, red, yellow and gold the name of my rival is "Weak"
and in blue would be "paner"
