I remember having a lot of fun with the first two, though I never got around to the third one. It's been five years since Guardian Signs so it looks like this is finished but..... does anyone know why? I loved playing these and Mystery Dungeon with them being the only spinoff's that I actually liked.

I presume it was likely one of the above reasons mentioned, the series likely didn't sell very well and as a result they likely decided to cancel the Ranger series altogether because as we know, if something doesn't meet sale expectations don't expect another instalment.

Pokémon Ranger Guardian Signs was a great game (and the only ranger game I played) I loved it but the Symbols were so complicated at first I loved it I used the signs all the time but then it got super hard I was annoyed I spent 34 tries on Ho-oh that's the only one I counted but besides it was too easy I was basically Immortal I only died 5 times through the whole game and that was at the beginning and at Raikou the first sign you get overall so yeah that was the games downfall I presume (Mostly the signs).

I like it a lot more than any other Pokémon game, to be honest. More ARPG-like and less turn-based combat.

It was great having such a selection of side games when the Ranger & Mystery Dungeon games were coming out regularly, with the return of the MD series maybe they will pick up Ranger again too. I beleive the last game in the series had bad sales though. :/
