Whats ips?

    Hi im new here and im new at everything so i dont understand whats ips becuz for all pokemon hacked games its not GBA files its ips files
    so can somoone help me please?

    IPS files are patches you apply to the GBA files using Lunar IPS.
     
    For further clarification, they contain all of the changes from one rom to another. You don't have to use Lunar IPS (though I recommend it), as there are many other patchers (programs that apply the *.ips file).

    Also, this forum is for questions dealing with just PC, not for rom hacking. Take those questions to the Simple Questions thread in the main ROM Hacking forum.
     

    IPS files are patches you apply to the GBA files using Lunar IPS.

    ^That and make sure that the IPS Patch belongs to the specific Rom . Ex : Shiny Gold IPS Patch should be applied to FireRed .
     
    Well, since this question has already been answered, I'm going to close this thread.
    (Also, just in case, you can't ask for ROMs here.)

    Anyway further questions like this should be posted in the Emulation section.
