Not 100% sure how this works yet but I guess I need to make a thread in here for 2 approvals? Anyone want to approval my article so I can start brainstorming it? :)

Seems you have the gist of it - approval can happen in this section or within the public thread, and needs to be two other people giving approval. However, after approval is given, normally the member writes the draft in the Workshop subsection. Being staff, you can draft it straight in the WordPress site instead. There's a thread sticky here on how to do stuff in there (maybe I'll give it a minor update as well this week). Up to you however.

I'm fine giving my own approval; I'd like to see what Christos responds with to this being a short separate article first, is all. I suppose he can be the second!

I'll approve it! Depending on how short it is, I'd consider including it as part of a slightly bigger article, I could probably try to write something if we agree to this.

Something like ROM Hacking: What's New, where the feature of this hack being back in progress is the main point of it, with a small intro promoting the Design a Gym and Hack of the Month contests, Hack Chat which already has two podcasts, and maybe new hacks, like Vega (though I'd prefer if Vega got its own feature or review, and including it might be too much since Mirage of Tales should be the focus of the article).

I'd like to see "ROM Hacking Feature: <hack name>" as separate lengthy articles with reviews, thoughts and comments, but depending on how short this article is going to be it could be better off as more of a "ROM Hacking News" thing and not a feature.

I like the idea of making this a 'what's new' article and including other things too. Shall we focus it around that instead?

Here's what could go in What's New #1:
    • Mirage of Tales
    • Vega (only small and mention a full article review coming out in near future)
    • Hack Chat #1 and #2
    • HotM
    • HotM Winner
    • Awesome Map Editor
    Anything else?

We can promote the Gym design contest as well and I could write a small Tips and Tricks section. The idea of ROM Hacking News/What's New was already greenlit so yeah we could do this with Mirage of Tales as the main topic.

I'll start formulating some drafts for the article when I get the time then.

Can we call this 'what's new pussycat?'

    what's new, shinx?

Any comments/ideas for the title? We'd want to make this a regular thing and the best I can think of is ROM Hacking: What's New (, Shinx)?

Blunt titles are boring though 'What's new in ROM Hacking' makes a point but it's boring

    What's Shaking in ROM Hacking?

Mind you, the article titles themselves can be different to that and more 'fun' (as long as the excerpt accompanying it indicates what is in the specific article), it's just that the article series title (what they'll all be organised under) probably should be accessible to anyone, even if boring.
