4th Gen whats the best DP "pokemon-catching' pokemon?

    which pokemon do u guys this it is?

    the best pokemon-catching pokemon!!

    i would say one with false swipe/hyperfang and could inflict sleep status with trapping moves like mean look or ability.

    and it must be fast enuff to prevent those fleeing legendaries!!

    which pokemon would it be? XD

    Well it should be rare or legendary, powerful, knows false swipe and some move that could paralize or put to sleep but still give damage
     
    If they flee, you can catch a Golbat. Fast and already knows Mean Look in the Victory Road.

    Otherwise, Rattata is the best one:

    Rattata@Focus Sash
    Lv1
    Moves:
    Endeavor

    Then another one who uses Spore.
     
    Get a Gastly or Haunter (or Gengar if you wanna go through the trouble of putting it on GTS) and teach it Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, Thunder Wave, and Dream Eater. Putting him asleep should already be enough to catch him, but if not, weaken him with Dream Eater.

    Thunder Wave is redundant, unless you want to catch Pokémon with Insomnia.
     
    Insomnia isn't a very bad ability. But Thunder Wave and Confuse Ray are supposed to be extreme measures for if Hypnosis and Dream Eater don't work.
     
    Zangoose with false swipe and thunder wave(if that's possible) if not then i just do that.
     
    My LV100 Scizor with False Swipe from Emerald, I was bored at the time so I thought Id raise him to LV100 XD
     
    Id say any level 100 pokemon that has false swipe. preferably paylz and stuff like that mvoes too that dont do damage. And also itd be good if it had very few weakneses
     
    FEAR Rattata has always worked well for me.
    Survive the hit with the Focus Sash, use Endeavor, and then when it faints switch to a Pokemon with a Sleep or Paralysis-causing Move.

    False Swipe, Swords Dance, Spore, Mean Look/Block. Whatever you wanna do, but that's effective on everything except ghosts, none of which can run away unless I'm mistaking.
     
    I vote scizor. False swipe and only one weakness, just attatch leftovers and drain false swipe, usin timer balls every 5 moves. I caught most legends with this.

    Im in a scizor mood today :D
