My cousin is having fun installing garbage on his old computer and he wants to see how much his computer can take before it crashes. He's already got Popular Screensavers, Zwinky, Smiley Central, Webfitti, Zango, My Web Search, and the greeting cards one. Can anyone else think of some other 'bad' malware sites? Don't worry there's nothing special on his computer and it's just Windows 2000.

XD. Are you seriously trying this?

Alright, by my experience, I think downloading stuff from random downloaders like "Limewire" or "Frostwire" can bring you some very ugly bugs if you are lucky.

Haha...that sounds fun. There's one called Anti-virus XP (it could be called something else by now) that's a big pain to remove and it also likes to annoy you. There are a lot of other fake malware removers that you could probably find.

Just keep clicking those random ads you find on the net ;3

His computer only lasted a few hours with Zango, Popular Screensavers, Zwinky, Kazaa, Limewire Pro, Smiley Central, Bonzi Buddy, Cursor Mania, MyFunCards, Webfitti, some fake anti virus program, and a whole bunch of toolbars. He also went on Toggle and downloaded lots of garbage from there, then visited various download sites that Site Advisor marked as red and helped himself to everything there. We ended up having to restart the computer, and now Windows Explorer crashes whenever we tried to open a folder or anything, and Internet Explorer 6 was useless with so many toolbars plus My Web Search and the Zango toolbar. Now we've got Windows 98 on it and trying again. Too bad that Zango isn't compatible with Windows 98 because that one was fun.

Try to get infected with conficker/downadup (search for it on slashdot for some information). It's pure evil.

    Use myspace for a bit,

My friend was on it for 5 minutes and got some fake virus protection popup saying there was a bunch of stuff in our "My Computer" folder.

Just reading this thread makes me cringe.

Thankfully I haven't had a virus in forever... so I don't know of any, sorry.
