What's the worst way your lost your streak and just lost at the battle tower

I been at the battle place trying to get enough bp for stuff and now i have to start over again. I lost on the last battle in the fighting type category before if faced the second person or brain in the single battle challenge.
i face like a level 60 something infernape
enemy infernape uses fakeout
togekiss flinches
enemy infernape uses close combat
spec def lowers etc.
i use twave instead of just using air slash like an idiot because i though air slash wouldn't kill it
he mach punches and kills me

the time before this i lost against a salamence and missed with air slash and the salamence gets a crit with dragon claw.. do some of the pokemon carry bright powder or something that raises evasiveness because I miss alot

my whole team got murdered by a porygon-z because i didnt sweep it fast enough and it got 2 nasty plots with made it sp.attack skyrocket and it killed my team with a few tri-attacks -__-

I don't battle tower or anything much, but I think I got on like, a pretty high streak and my mom was distracting me and I kept pressing A (I have, 'I tap A button constantly' syndrome), and I selected the wrong move and died. Dx

When my bronzong's hypnosis failed because of the enemy togekiss's (G.D.) substitute. I tried to switch in with sweepers, like my ddnite, but they failed because of substitute and roost.
