thought something like this might occur but id say that dragon or ice will win the poll but i made it close in 3000 days
 
Although it seems to be an underdog right now, definitely, definitely Water. It's got amazing variety -- tanks, sweepers (of both kinds!), pHazers, trappers, Baton Passer(s), pretty much anything you want, you could probably find a Water-type that does decently at any given role. Then, for in-game purposes, you've got a whole variety of types and a plethora of Pokemon to choose from, so it's perfectly possible to create an entire team of Water-types and completely annihilate the in-game trainers.

On top of that, I love a lot of the designs. Even the goofy ones like Gastrodon are simply cute. Or sleek and elegant, like Milotic or Vaporeon. Or fairly pretty, like Starmie. Either that, or you've got downright hilarious concepts. Like Luvdisc.
 
It was a tough choice between Psychic, Ghost, and Dark, but I picked Psychic in the end. I always like working with all three of those Pokemon types in the games. But I think Psychic wins because it's been my favourite for the longest time, and I always find myself cheering when one of my Pokemon learns a Psychic attack. And I'm even unwilling to get rid of Psychic on any of my Wormadam, even though in some cases that might not be the best attack for them...

Plus I LOVED how in R/B/Y Psychics were immune to Ghost-type attacks. True, that made Sabrina a lot harder to beat, but... Oh and speaking of Sabrina, she's my favourite gym leader AND anime character, so maybe that's another reason why Psychic's my favourite type.

But like I said, Ghost and Dark are close... after all, my top favourite Pokemon (Mismagius) is Ghost-type, and my third-favourite (Darkrai) is Dark-type. And no, I didn't pick Fire because... well I dunno, that type doesn't compare to Psychic/Ghost/Dark, even though my second-favourite Pokemon (Ninetales, of course) is Fire-type. Plus, quite a few of my favourite attacks are Ghost or Dark-type, such as Curse, Thief, Dark Pulse, Dark Void, Grudge, and Shadow Sneak.

Interestingly enough, during the days of RBYGSC, Fighting was my least favourite type. But then that type grew on me when Medicham and Lucario appeared, and of course Aura Sphere, another of my favourite attacks.
 
psychic has always been my favorite since red and blue first came out, i had to go with that
 
If it isn't obvious by my name my favorite types are Ice and Dragon with Grass coming in third.

I love cold weather and Ice Pokemon always fit well with me. I love them all. They are all strong in battle and most have good designs.

Dragon is second because their strength is amazing. Their designs are cool and their abilities are awesome.

And third to me is grass. For one, the grass starters are the only set that I like all of them. Plus, they are all pretty strong.


Overall, Ice wins out with me, so that is my favorite.
 
Fire and Dark definitely.

Ground would be my third choice.
 
I loved fire ever since I got chimchar in pokemon Diamond


Fighting would come second

Water, it's cool clean and crisp.

OMG why dose evreyone love dragon water and ice RULE.
