In both Pokemon LeafGreen and FireRed, my starter was Squirtle. I was new to pokemon back then so I didn't take the moves, stats, etc.. into consideration and judged the pokemon by their looks XD. I thought Charmander looked the coolest but, in the box that pops up when you click the pokeballs, it said something about Charmander being hard to train and I thought Bulbasaur looked ugly so that's why. XD

In both Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, I chose Mudkip. Still, I didn't know anything about EV's and such. I thought Swampert looked the coolest so I picked him, and I became a water pokemon fan for quite some time back.

In Pokemon Emerald, I chose Torchic. I knew already knew a bit about team building that time. :D
I still didn't know about EVs and IVs though. I searched the net to see which of them had the highest attack stats.

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, I chose Piplup. I knew more about team building already. I knew about EVs and IVs too. :D This time, I made it my team's wall. I plan to use him in my team for competitive battling when I get Wi-Fi. :D

In Pokemon Platinum, I chose Chimchar and Turtwig. (Yes, I have two games, a ROM and um.. the "real" Platinum game, unfortunately, the ROM can't save. ;__;) Turtwig in the ROM and Chimchar in the "real" copy. I chose Chimchar since it's the only starter that's capable of becoming a sweeper in the 4th gen games and it has really good attack, special attack and speed stats. :D

Gold was actauly the first game I owned. I played my friends Red until I got my own. Some of these belonged to my siblings, I still put those becuase I pretty much chose it for them...

I just love the water Pokemon mainly because they start adorable ,but end up completely awesome when they are fully evolved. That all started with Totodile mainly becauseof its final evolution in the Special Pokemon Pojo card Magazine awhile back in October after it came out.
