This is the team I have been using during my play through, all from Platinum. They all got their evolutions in HG.

Growlithe will evolve once I get a hold of a Fire Stone, Pika will not evolve, since he has a Light Ball, and he's just so awesome. Shuppet and Grimer didn't evolve until the joruney to the E4. O_o
